SOMEHOW - TAEGYU ??

"I've always wanted to go to one." Beomgyu says, bringing up the spoon to his mouth before swallowing the ice cream.

"Not only are you going, you're basically invited." Yeonjun says.

The two are back at Poppin' Star, sitting at a corner and enjoying their ice creams. It's been a while since Beomgyu went here, all due to his dance evaluations and because he's been with Taehyun so much and Taehyun took a break from the parlour.

Beomgyu glances over at the counter to find Kai. Kai notices and waves at him, Beomgyu waving back with a small smile. He truly misses coming here, and he truly misses seeing Taehyun work here, eyes focused on the coffee machine, engulfed in his red mini apron.

"It's next week. Aren't you going to go out with Taehyun?" Yeonjun asks.

Beomgyu shook his head. "He told me that he'll be out with Hyuka."

"He doesn't know, does he? About you being a writer?"

Again, Beomgyu shook his head. "He can't know. He'll think I'm some freak."

"And he'll find your story."

"I don't even want to think about it."

Because, for some reason-

Beomgyu feels uneasy.

"You can't be serious." Taehyun says, glaring up at his tall best friend.

"Pleaseee-" Kai pouts. "I've been so excited about this for a week!! And I might meet some of my favourite authors." The taller squeals.

Kai pulls Taehyun by the arm and drags him into the convention centre. Taehyun walks sluggishly as he's pulled by the latter.

It's been a while since the two hung out and of course, the first activity and probably for the whole day Taehyun would be doing is accompany Kai to this forsaken '抖阴社区' convention.

Kai loves reading. Like, no shit. Despite his loud personality, the only time he's quiet is when he reads, especially on wattpad. He completely immerses himself with the flow of the storyline. And once he's done with a chapter or a book, he'll rush to Taehyun and his other friends to blast out what he read, whether it's fiction, sci-fi or even fan fictions, he'll tell them all about it and his words won't even run out.

Taehyun, on the other hand, isn't a fan of reading much. He's read quite a number of books, but, it turns out that he's a picky reader. If he reads a few pages and finds himself descending into boredom, he'd ditch that book without thinking twice.

The convention centre is huge and about thousands of people are here, but thankfully, not too crowded. Taehyun glances around and finds glimpse of people stating at him and whispering. Times like these are when Taehyun consciouy remembers that he's a model and that people might gasp just by seeing him. He clings onto Kai and randomly strikes a conversation, just to avoid people from asking him for a picture.

Kai's eyes widen at the sight of a book at one of the booths. He rushes over, untangling his arm from Taehyun's grip and bolts towards the booths direction. Taehyun scoffs and approaches Kai's side.

"Something you've read?" Taehyun asks.

Kai excitingly shoves the book in front of Taehyun's vision. "Not really, I read a few chapters of it though I didn't know it was completed already??? That was fast." Kai says as he flips through the pages.

"Hmm" Taehyun hums as he tries to take a peak of the book. "Iridescent by gyuwu."

"It's her first gay fic." Kai says. He peers his eyes upward, thinking. "Actually, I'm not sure if it's a guy or girl. I mean, I've stalked the profile once and read through the message board and he replies to his readers like a guy but she writes like a girl. Geez, I don't even know what to call him or her."
