(In the Crestwood high theatre room__ a large space divided into the auditorium and the stage. The stage is set, beautifully decorated with red linens, the seats are occupied by students all waiting for the audition to start, the hall is filled with noise coming from different angles.)
Voice of protagonist: and finally, the day was here, the day I could establish myself as someone who I could be proud of. the audition day.
(Camila is sited, really concentrated on her cellphone, Stacey sits next to her.)
Stacey: (takes away her cellphone) urrh, can you get off your phone, just for an hour?
Camila: (looks at her) off course. but I can't, I have to get all these (shows her a paper) in here in text to my mom
Stacey: (startled) no way, is that even possible?
Camila: (smiles) well, only one way to find out right? (takes back the phone)
Stacey: anyways, I just looove this
Camila: what?
Stacey: all these (waves her hands slowly towards the stage)
Camila: you mean...the audition?
Stacey: yes, the audition. not just that, the amazing popcorn we all get. this you see sister, is just brilliant
Camila: (startled) we get free popcorn for the audition?
(Somewhere in the crowd, in the front row, timon sits staring at Camila as she speaks with Stacey... Jimmy taps him on he's shoulder)
Jimmy: timon
Timon: (quickly looks at Jim) yes
Jimmy: remember what you said?
Timon: yeah, I wasn't thinking about her, I was just looking
Jimmy: you know, I can't still believe your gonna be on stage
Timon: me niether, it's crazy
Jimmy: and I can't also believe you didn't tell me beforehand
Timon: yeahhh am not sorry for that, you didn't tell me about you and fang until I found out
Jimmy: (looking to avoid the discussion) hmmm then I think it's fair
Timon: your damn right it is
(Fang arrives)
Fang: hey guys
Jimmy: hey polar bear
(Fang sits next him and kisses him on the cheek, Jimmy quickly kisses her on the lips. fang smiles at him)
Jimmy: (to fang) timon is going on stage today
Fang: what, (looks at timon) really?
Timon: yes. thanks for bringing that up Jim (sarcastically says)
Fang: oh my God. when I heard today was the audition of this year's musicals, I didn't really wanna come to school. but now am glad I did
[Michael stoke (a tall handsome wellbulit guy with green eyes. a germ to the ladies) walks in, the ladies turn their attention to him, as they whisper and giggle to each other. )
Michael: what's up audience folks (gives handshakes on his way to a free seat)
Stacey: hey, Michael!
Michael: (looks at her) hey! (changes his destination, walks to a seat behind Camila and Stacey) black queen.
