Jaune was practicing
He was interrupted by a familiar presence
He turned his head and saw
A Raven above him watching him
It flew down and transform into a woman
Raven: hello Jaune, how is Beacon treating you?
Jaune: not even 3 days and I'm surrounded by irrational nonsense.
Raven: told you this place is filled with odd balls, just look at me.
Jaune: don't debase yourself mother its not healthy.
Raven just chuckled
Raven: I notice your still practicing, good.
Jaune: yeah, but there's no one here good enough to spar with.
Raven: how about that Niko's girl she's a tournament champ she should be good enough.
Jaune: you do remember my point of view on tournament fighters, since one of the arc sisters was a former champ?
Raven: they love showing of and putting style in their fights, they are only 1/4th the capabilities of a huntsman.
Jaune: saving lives and fighting enemies is the job description, not flashiness.
Raven: good to see you being realistic, so how is your second training going?
Jaune: still keeping it secret like you asked, but I'm getting stronger. And I discovered my semblance during initiation.
Raven: oh?
Jaune: yeah its Aura Amplification, it boosts all the attributes of aura and body, bit it also boosts something else.
Jaune nods to her and she gets it
Raven: well there's a surprise for you in vale, just go there anytime.
Jaune: can I ask what it is?
Raven: no.
Jaune: you do know this place isn't safe for you since Yang is here.
Raven: I know, I'm just checking upon you.
Jaune: you worried? That's rare.
Raven: no!....I'm mean...
Jaune: you miss her? Do you regret it?
Raven: a bit, but you are my child as well.
Jaune: thanks mom.
Raven walks forward and ruffles his hair
Jaune: you better get going, I sense someone coming up here.
Raven nods and transforms back to bird form and flew off
Jaune returns to training when the door opens to reveal pyrrha
Pyrrha: Jaune? Your still practicing?
Jaune: Life doesn't stop for no one and neither will I.
Pyrrha: aren't you strong enough? I can tell that if I fought you even I might lose.
Jaune: and I should've content with that!? I don't lust for power, but there will be always someone out there stronger and faster than me , that will always be constant.
But the one thing anyone can have a true advantage over the other is preparation.
Jaune: i entered this academy without going to combat school.
