They stay there a few more minutes

Then something happened

Raven slapped Jaune in the face

Raven: Jaune, never dwell on your past failings. Like you taught me...

She looked guilty slapping him but he needs some sense knocked back into him

Jaune: yeah...I...I'm sorry mother, I'm sorry Teacher...

He looks toward Saya

Saya just gave him a hug

Saya: Jaune... Keeping these feelings inside is never good. Remember when your feeling this way just come to us. Okay?

Jaune: yeah.

Raven: always remember Jaune....

Jaune: don't be sorry, be better.

Raven then pulls him into a hug

After a few minutes they broke the hug

Jaune filled with new found resolve, strives to become better

They said their goodbyes as Jaune went back to Beacon

PNR was in their room just chilling

The door opens to an emotionally exhausted Jaune

Pyrrha was worried of their leaders condition

Pyrrha: Jaune? What happened? Are you okay?

Jaune: yeah I'm just tired that's all.

He then walked and laid face first in bed

The three was wondering what happened to their stoic fearless leader

This is the first time they saw him completely burnt out

The Night went on as they all went to bed

The Next Day

Jaune was the first to wake up as he walked out of the room

Jaune went to a clear place in the courtyard

He meditated deeply on what transpired yesterday as a part of him kept gnawing at his mind to cross a line

Jaune decided to lock that train if thought away for now, he will deal with it later

He understood the consequences of doing this but for now he has to find his own way

Jaune then opened his eyes to be met by silver ones

Ruby: whatcha doin?

Jaune: just reflecting on my life.

Ruby: why? Your still young.

Jaune: there is nothing wrong in being ready.

Besides your one to talk.

He ruffles her hair

Jaune: your a lot younger than me.

Ruby knocks his hand away

Ruby: I'm only 2 years younger than you!!!

Jaune laughs

Jaune: oh your just so cute.

Ruby: grrrr....

Jaune: (it's times like this that I remember my old self, but I need to move on. I can't keep looking back.)

Jaune: hey let's grab something to eat I'm starved.

Ruby: how long have you been out here?

Jaune: a couple if hours.

Ruby: how are you not sleepy!? That's way too early!

Jaune: I just got a lot of stuff on my mind lately.

Ruby: wanna talk about it?

Then two fingers poked her forehead

Jaune: no. Besides it's a personal issue.

RWBY: grrrrrr .......

They make their way to the Mess Hall

The two grabbed their breakfast as Jaune filled Ruby's plate with a few vegetables

Ruby: why did you get me greens!?

Jaune: you need to eat healthy Ruby. That's not a request.

Ruby just grumbles

Then the rest of the teams walks in the Mess Hall

They saw the two leaders just eating

Yang was puzzled that Ruby of all people was eating her vegetables

Ruby: hrm there can I have my cookies now?

Jaune: yeah, here you go.

Weiss: what the heck are you two doing?

Jaune: eating breakfast duh.

Yang: what I think she means is why do you two look like a family?

Ruby: well I found Jaune just sitting in the courtyard doing that meditating thing, so I invited him for breakfast.

Nora: noooo! Your stealing fearless leader from us with you cuteness!

Jaune and Ruby:........

The Group: really now?

Then the day goes by with them just having fun and messing around

Jaune looks at the group

Jaune then remembers those he killed and the ones he injured

He then closes his eyes finding a fraction of peace to his troubled soul

But this peace will be short lived when the Vytal Festival Arrives
