The music was exploding my ear drums and romeo was pulling my hand through the loud crowd. It was the biggest party I ever attended. After persistence from my friends who practically forced me to get out of the house, and after being with my mom for a few weeks I needed to clear my head. I was in holidays after all. With james working, I felt a bit neglected and alone. My dependence on him started to scare me. So that night, I sneaked out because I knew that my mom wouldn't let me go out and james wasn't home either.

I wore a little black dress with a leather jacket and tied my hair up. My friends picked me up and we arrived to this crazy party. That night I just wanted to have fun, be a normal teenager, but a part of me wanted to ignore my growing feelings for james. Even if it was hard to forget the things he said to me a few days ago.

"Lo?" Romeo yelled in my ear

"Uh yeah sorry- the music is too loud i can't hear you"

"I know, let's get drinks"

Therefore, we all sat together and drank shots, we laughed like the good old times and I lowkey missed this feeling. My friends were my family since I never really had one. We played truth or dare and Tony had to jump in the pool naked, valeria and Alejandro had to make out in front of everyone and obviously the game escalated like it always did.

"Hey baby can I talk to you for a sec?" Romeo tap on my shoulder lightly

"Yeah sure"

"Lets go somewhere quiet"

We went to one of the rooms of the house and sat on the bed

"Yeah what is it you're making me anxious" I said and laughed nervously.
Cheating on Romeo was one of the worst feeling ever. The guilt was surreal but I couldn't just leave him without a reason I knew he would never let me go and I also knew I couldn't tell him the real reason either.

"Why is there a reason you should be anxious?" He said laughing and i laughed awkwardly in response.

"Nothing baby I actually just wanted to know if you were okay? Cause I mean after everything that happened these past couple of weeks... you know- with your mom and all-"

"Romeo i don't really wanna talk about it. I came to this party to forget about my problems"

"Right- shit I'm sorry"

"It's okay Romeo. Thank you for caring, are you okay?"

"I'm okay I just feel like we're kinda drifting apart"

"I know there's just been a lot going on"

"Yeah of course but I kinda waited for summer to spend all my time with you since we're graduating next year and we're going to university"

"I told you baby I'm not sure about uni"

"Lo I already told you it's secured, my parents have no problem paying-"

"No of course not! You know how I feel about that. I won't impose that on them"

"So what? Are you just gonna leave me while I go study abroad? I wanted to do it with you"

"Romeo-"

"I feel like I barely know you these days. We planned this since forever and I told you I'd help you move from your toxic household"
He said, looking at me frustrated and confused. But truth was, after james, everything changed. My future wouldn't be the same because I knew what I wanted, I just couldn't admit it yet.

"Romeo please, not now. Let's have this conversation another time"

"You're right... I'm sorry I didn't mean to ruin your night" He kissed my forhead
