My Tormentor

The moon set and the sun started rising in the sky. Birds were chirping and everything was so pleasant. After sometime the sun started to shine brightly and the rays started gracing everywhere with its heat. Sun rays peeped through the window and fell on the sleeping figure sleeping soundly on the bed.

Feeling the heat on the face finally the figure on the bed shuffled who was none other than Nicholas. Today he was sleeping more than usual. His eyes started to shuffle and his deep slumber broke. Everything came crashing into his mind what happened last night and again a genuine smile appeared on his lips.

He stretched his arm to take that little hazel eyed enchantress in his embrace but all he felt was cold mattress. He snapped open his eyes and saw no one on the bed. His brows creased and he immediately sat up on the bed. He looked around for any clue of her but there was nothing.

He touched the bed which was completely cold clearly telling that the person laying there has left a long ago. He snapped his eyes at the doorstep and saw her clothes were also not there. He tried to console himself that what is thinking is not true maybe she will be in bathroom.

He immediately got down the bed with his naked chest and felt her scent was also not lingering in the air which always does. He saw the bathroom door was wide open so that means she wasn't in the bathroom too. His heart started sinking into his stomach. He doesn't want to think what was coming into his mind but his mind was forcing him to think that way.

'Why did she left? If she wanted to go then why didn't she tell me? Everything was fine between us last night, right? She consented to me and I poured my heart out in front of her. She wanted me to stay and I stayed then where is she now?' these were the questions running into Nicholas' mind.

Not caring to wear a shirt or something he opened the door of his room and exited. Walking in the hallway with hurried steps he was checking her in each and every room in the way. He immediately descended down the stairs. He was trying to maintain a calm and composed posture but he was failing miserably in it because tensed lines on his forehead could be seen from far away.

When he reached downstairs he saw Iris sitting on the dining table while Violet was arranging it for the breakfast. Ace and Tyler were also standing near by. He cascaded his cold blue gaze on them and as if in queue Jingle bell also came there meowing.

"Dov'è Bella?" He asked coldly gaining everyone's attention towards him.
(Translation: Where is Bella?)

"Non lo sappiamo, capo. Ieri sera è andata nella tua stanza e da allora nessuno di noi l'ha più vista. Pensavamo che fosse con te." Tyler was the one who replied to him acting so oblivious and now his heart started to feel restless and thump loudly inside his chest.
(Translation: We don't know boss. Last night she left for your room and after that no one of us has seen her. We thought she is with you.)

Nicholas' mind went completely blank he couldn't understand what was going in Isabella's mind. If she was not with him, not with her friends or with Jingle bell then where was she? His heart beat of abnormally increasing, he felt like his heart will explode out of his chest.

"Trovatela dov'è andata e portatemela." he immediately ordered everyone in his cold voice making them stand up from their places as per his order.
(Translation: Find her where did she go and bring her to me.)

Everyone exited the main Hall in order to find Isabella or more like pretending because Ace and Tyler had already told Violet and Iris about last night incidents and they were also happy with Isabella's decision of starting her new life because they also want what best for her and its not surely being with Nicholas and spending her whole life with him.

Nicholas hurriedly picked Jingle bell up in his arms because she is the only thing which he had related to Isabella at that time. He cradled the little, fluffy cat in his arms and immediately went out of the mansion. Sensing his dominating aura the guards standing there stiffened.

"Venite tutti qui adesso!" he commanded in his authoritative voice immediately making the guards marched towards him. They bowed in respect to him and stood there with their hands back and lowered heads.
(Translation: Everyone come here right now!)

"Isabella Campbell è scomparsa. Trovala il prima possibile se vuoi vivere di più la tua vita. Inteso?" he commanded to them strictly and there was a silent warning in his voice. The guards immediately nodded their heads at him.
(Translation: Isabella Campbell is missing. Find her as soon as possible if you want to live your life more. Understood?)

"Si capo" they all yelled in unison and marched away from there dismissing into different directions.
(Translation: Yes boss!)

Nicholas kept gazing at their walking figures and when they disappeared immediately the cold expression from his vanished away and there was a panicked look on his face. Jingle bell sensed his tensed posture and rubbed her face at his chest to calm him down. His heart was still thumping loudly inside his chest.

He took a short glance at the cat in his arms and immediately strode towards the control room of the mansion. Without thinking twice he skipped to the time where they were wrapped in each others' arms. He played the video at fast forward and saw in the midnight it was around two when Isabella sneaked out of his room.

His eyes immediately turned blank looking at her walking like some thief ready to rob but the irony was she has already robbed something with was his stone cold heart. He saw her glancing at her surroundings which meant she was planning something. Then she changed the footage and started another camera's footage.

It was of hall. He saw her coming downstairs and then he saw her disappearing in the darkness towards the kitchen. He didn't understand what she was trying to do and before he could watch anything more further the screen started to glitch and then it completely went off. Nicholas glanced at the screen confusingly and tried to start it but the footage was completely blank after it.

His jaw clenched because he understood there was something involved with her too or she can't do this herself. It never happened before that the footage got corrupt like this. He was in dilemma that who had helped her and what she was trying to do and where did she go.

He punched the wall angrily scaring the cat in his arms and she immediately jumped out of his arms in order to save herself. He sighed knowing he scared her again. He bent down on his knee and extended his hand towards her. He started softly cooing towards her and she again felt that he was trying to be nice with her so she slowly walked towards him.

Nicholas took her in his arms securely and stood up with a coldness and determination in his eyes. He caressed her head making her to lean in his touch.

"Don't worry Jingle bell we will find our companion soon." he said and walked out of the control room.
