Unicorn Academy - Honorary Siblings

Everyone stands in silence as they watch Sophia turn to them, and Rory rubs the back of his neck with confusion as to why Sophia's so angry. Attempting to make a comforting gesture, Rory puts his hand on her shoulder, only to be shoved off and given a death glare from Sophia.

Rory - "Uh, Soph, are you okay—"

Sophia - "Can you just back off?! And don't touch me!"

Rory - "I'm—I'm sorry! I didn't think—"

Sophia - "I don't care what you think! Just leave me alone!"

Ava - "Sophia, what's wrong?"

Rory - "I just wanted to make you feel better."

Sophia - "I don't need your pity, Rory! Besides, don't you have a sister to check up on?!"

Rory - "Sophia—"

Sophia - "Ugh! Just forget it!"

Isabel - "Dude, wait!"

Layla - "Sophia!"

Valentina - "What's up with her?"

Rory - "I...I don't know."

Rory watches with a worried face as Sophia storms off, unable to feel comforted by Ava's empathetic hug. Close to the stables, Wildstar looks up with a grin a she sees Sophia approaching, but the smile disappears as she realizes she's crying. Without an explanation, Sophia jumps onto Wildstar's back, silently thankful that Ms. Wildwood had already tacked up the unicorns. After riding in silence, Sophia sits on a rock overlooking the ocean, finally letting herself cry for what felt like hours. Wildstar could only sit close by in an effort to comfort her, still clueless as to why she was upset.

At the dorms, Talulah finally feels good enough to take a few minutes to sit on her balcony, where she sees Feather playing around with Leaf. As if he was a colt, Feather was running around and having genuine fun, so much fun that it'd managed to get his mind off Talulah feeling sick. Deciding it was better that Feather was socializing with the unicorns instead of spending all his time with her, Talulah quietly sneaks back into her room. For once, Talulah decided it was alright that she took a break, and let herself drift back to sleep. Meanwhile, Ava had pulled Rory aside as he was looking for Sophia, wanting to help him understand why she was so angry.

Rory - "Sophia?! Where are you? Please, I want to talk!"

Ava - "Rory, wait!"

Rory - "Ava, have you seen Sophia? I can't find her anywhere."

Ava - "I...I don't think Sophia wants to see you right now, Rory...It's nothing that you did, but I think Sophia's felt kind of homesick lately."

Rory - "Homesick?"

Ava - "She's been staring at pictures of her family for a while now. And she's been holding her necklace tightly more than usual."

Rory - "But I don't understand. Why is she mad at me?"

Ava - "I think she's jealous of you and Talulah...You guys have a way stronger bond than most siblings, especially since most fight each other constantly...I think she misses hanging out with her brother, even if they didn't get along as well as you and Talulah do."

Rory - "She misses her family? Well, why doesn't she just say that?"

Ava - "...With the stuff about her dad possibly being alive and all that, Sophia's been kind of complicated whenever she starts thinking about her family. I don't think she means to get mad at you, it's...it's just been a lot since we've been here."
