Samruddhi's Pov:

After Sid dropped me off at home, I walked straight to my room. As I entered, I quickly shut the door behind me and took a deep breath. I needed a hot shower to calm myself down. Without wasting any time, I headed directly towards the washroom and began to undress.

Once I was bare, I reached out and turned the shower knob, adjusting it until the water temperature was just right. The sound of the water splashing against the tiles was soothing.

I stepped under the showerhead, allowing the warm water to fall over me. The droplets hit my skin, sending a comforting heat through my body. I tilted my head back, letting the water wash over my face and hair, feeling it trickle down my neck and shoulders.

I felt the tension in my muscles start to dissolve. I closed my eyes, savouring the moment and relaxing myself.

In the midst of this relaxation, my mind drifted to a memory that brought a smile to my lips. It was the memory of our kiss. I could almost feel it again: the gentle press of his lips against mine, the way his hands roamed around my body. Shit, what the hell? I'm thinking about that kiss and smiling like a fool. It doesn't mean anything. I shouldn't think about that kiss.

After I finished my shower, I quickly went to my closet and put on something comfortable. While I was drying myself and looking in the mirror, I noticed there were red bite marks at the base of my neck. I went a little closer to the mirror and traced them with my finger in confusion. Then realization hit me. He fucking bit me and left a mark there. I sighed in frustration and wore my comfy pyjama's.

I sat on the bed and took my phone to message Siddharth.

Me:
You fucking bit me, Sid.

His reply came instantly.

Devil:
It's called a love bite, love. And I don't mind giving you some more. Actually, I want to kiss and bite every inch of your body.

Me:
You pervert.

Devil:
Only for you, baby. And stop complaining. You enjoyed it too.

Me:
Who said I enjoyed it?

Devil:

My cheeks turned red with embarrassment. I just stared at his shameless messages and decided not to reply. I set my phone aside.

I went towards my balcony with my laptop, sat there, and continued my book-related work. It was just 5 in the evening, and I didn't have anywhere to go.

Later in the evening, at the dining area, everyone was settled at the dining table. I walked in, gave them a smile, and took my seat. I served myself dinner and had just taken a bite when Mumma spoke up.

"Samu, you have to go out for engagement shopping tomorrow with the Rajwansh family," she said.

"Okay, Mumma," I replied, trying to sound exited.

Naina chimed in, "I'm coming too. And Anirudh bhai is also coming."

Bhai made a face, clearly unhappy about the idea of shopping, but he nodded his head. We all laughed at his reaction, knowing well how much he despises shopping.

"By the way," Chachi said with excitement sparkling in her eyes, "your mother and I want to start the decorations at Lake Palace right after the engagement. We want everything to be perfect."
