As I watched her eat from Rohan's hand, I felt a surge of emotions that I couldn't quite explain. I couldn't bear to witness the intimacy between them, and before I knew it, I had turned and stormed out of there.
I couldn't understand why I was so bothered by the scene. She was, after all, just my wife in the eyes of the world. But to me, she was nothing more than Rian's mother. Or so I kept telling myself.
As I reflected on my reaction, I realized that I had been feeling increasingly possessive and territorial around her. It was as if I had staked a claim on her, even though I knew I had no right to.
When I saw her hugging Rohan, I felt a wave of anger wash over me. My blood began to boil, and I couldn't think straight.
After picking her from the hospital, I got into the car and started driving, not caring about the speed limit or my own safety. It was as if I was trying to outrun my emotions.
But the more I drove, the more I realized that I couldn't escape my feelings. Whenever I saw her, my heart skipped a beat. And when I touched her neck while locking her necklace, I felt a spark of electricity that I couldn't ignore.
For the first time, I acknowledged to myself that I was attracted to her. But I knew I had to suppress those feelings. I couldn't let myself be controlled by my emotions.
I parked the car on the side of the street and got out, not bothering to tell her where I was going. I wasn't in the mood for conversation, and I needed some space to clear my head.
As I walked away from the car, I spotted a chocolate shop in the distance. Rian had asked me to pick up some chocolates for him, and I couldn't resist the opportunity to indulge my son's sweet tooth.
I entered the shop and bought a few chocolates, feeling a sense of normalcy wash over me. But as I walked back to the car, I realized that she was nowhere to be found.
I scanned the surrounding area, feeling a twinge of annoyance. Where had she gone now? Couldn't she just sit in the car and wait for me?
I sighed and placed the chocolates in the backseat, wondering what I would find when I finally tracked her down.
