"It's still raining, hm?" Lily spoke as she sat down on the front porch step beside you.

"Yeah." You sighed before putting your head on her shoulder. "Guess our walk in the park today is out."

She giggled but nodded her head before you both went quiet and just listened to the rain fall.

It had been pouring down earlier but it wasn't as bad now.

But it was enough to ruin your' and Lily's plans of having a picnic and park date today.

"I love the smell of the rain." You said as you took a deep breath, letting the scent of the rain fill your lungs. "Even though our plans are ruined, at least we're together."

"Yeah." She smiled and brushed her fingers through your hair. "You know what? Let's do something."

"What should we do?"

"I have an idea." She grinned as she pulled her phone out of her pocket and loaded up the playlist she created a while ago for you that was full of romantic and loving songs.

She pressed the shuffle button and Lover by Taylor Swift started to play before she stood up and held her hand out for you.

"Come on. Let's go slow dance."

"In the rain?"

"Yeah. It's going to be romantic." She promised before taking your hand into hers to kiss it lovingly.

You stood up and walked down the rest of the porch steps before she put her arms around you.

Placing your head on her shoulder, as the rain fell and started to dampen your skin and clothes, Lily began to sway you back and forth to the music while also singing some of the words in your ear.

"Give me your hand."

You lifted your head and did as she said before she spun you around and dipped you, making you laugh happily.

Once you were standing up again, you put your forehead against hers and closed your eyes as you swayed along to the romantic song.

"I'm so happy you had this idea. This is so fun and romantic."

"I told you it would be." She said before kissing your lips softly. "I love you, Y/N,"

"I love you too, Lily," You whispered before kissing her again.

As Lover came to an end, Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran came on, and you continued to sway along to the music as the rain continued to fall.

You took her hand and spun her around and she let out the happiest laugh you'd ever heard as you dipped her, making your heart flutter.

"I love these moments with you."

"Me too." You said as you put your cheek on her shoulder.

"Do you ever wonder what song we'll slow dance to at our wedding?"

"Wedding?" You gasped, lifting your head. "You think about that?"

"All the time." She confessed. "Because I'm in love with you and whether we choose to marry this year, next year, or ten years from now, I wonder these things."

"So do I." You confessed before grinning. "I like to think it'll be Lover, maybe the first dance remix version."

"That would be perfect." She said.

"I'm so in love with you, Lily,"

"I'm so in love with you, baby," She said as she brushed her fingers along your back.

They don't know about us by one direction began to play next and you closed your eyes as you took in these beautiful moments with Lily.

"I never want these moments to end. Can we do this forever?"

"Sure." She chuckled. "Every time it rains from now on, we'll do this."

"I'd love that." You quietly spoke.

Lily turned her head so she could lovingly kiss yours before she closed her eyes and continued to slow dance in the front yard with you.

Even when the rain picked up a little, you didn't stop.

You stayed just like that, wanting to cherish every romantic moment together.
