She... Never felt so alone...
Rover just wanted to be a normal woman, as normal as any resonator could get and not what she is now... Whatever this might be.
Looking at the back of her hand, the little stars making up her tacet mark... She had told no one, knowing it would get back to 'her' if she did, but she had had the line of thought that would these abilities, this life, been over if she cut this hand off or just skinned the mark off... Sometimes loneliness, longing she didn't understand, was just so that she was ready to try anything, only a little light scar under her thumb on her wrist could testify of that line of thought.
"There you are, you can't vanish like that."
"They can survive two hours without me."
Hmm... Was she back early? Rover didn't expect her before tomorrow morning.
Turning around without moving much, just shifting a hand behind her to lean on it.
At first it was pure innocent curiosity, only having had a few moments, short as they may be, to talk to the bodyguard.
She might seem cold and detached, which Sanhua was quite, but she had her own way of being... Not that? Well she was always that but explain to Rover how she tolerated her, knowing Rover knowing herself that she was annoying her greatly sometimes and she still put up with her.
And then it was more... But having no past to base herself upon, Rover was a bit lost, not truly knowing how and what this all was. It all felt like grabbing a glider and jumping off a cliff without looking what is below, the glider can keep her in the air for so long before facing what was under her without a plan... But for now it was working. Whatever was done and going on here didn't seem to be stopping anytime soon, letting her guts and instincts guide the way.
Sanhua had indeed finished up earlier, once the exiles were found it didn't take her long to drag them to Jinhsi's front steps.
Unhappily so, discovering Rover gone, that woman... She might be cleared medically but she is not supposed to be running around yet, 'sentenced' to rest and Sanhua knew that if it was not bed rest it was running errands which was not rest.
She had scoured the city and had been almost an hour before getting a lead to here, more then happy to drag her back even if it meant being smacked by a new wing that could appear and vanish at will... Again...
By now she is starting to develop a dodging reflex entirely to counter it.She was going to get her back to the room kicking and screaming if needed, hell she would have cuffed her to the bed posts if her subconscious allowed it without turning it into... Something...
But any of those many thoughts currently in her mind, dropping her previously crossed arms.
"You can't think that's why I came to find you can you?" She asked, lifting a thin brow like how she could, Rover being unable, always lifting both at the same time. "We've survived this long without you being here to save us, I think we can survive two moment without you being around, Jinzhou is not weak."
Rover shrugged, exaggerating the movement before letting herself fall on her back, head at the tip of Sanhua's boots, feeling the tip of one barely against her head as she stared at the sky before closing her eyes.
The bodyguard was like no other, she never had expectations for her, not even hidden ones... Well maybe expecting her to follow medical demands but that doesn't count. There was something to her, like she'd bitch slap a god and drag them by the ear if they were the one who violated their curfew without blinking twice. And that might be where it all started for Rover... Being seen as just another annoying woman being a constant bother and not some prophecy child or old savior coming back, just another person.
