Broken Promises||Ao'nung x reader||

     Tsireya decided we should go for another try on the Ilu but instructed Ao'nung to stay with me and he take my brothers. Ao'nung said nothing but rolled his eyes. After we ride for a while I stop and take a break. "You are learning to breathe." He said, a smile on his face which you happily returned.

    Ao'nung took you to an almost private spot and instructed you to sit up straight as he rested his hand on your abdomen. "Now breathe." He said. "The way of water has no beginning and no end." You heard him say as you closed your eyes. "The sea is around you." You opened your eyes and he picked up something shiny "And in you." He threw it into the water and motioned for you to get it.

    You took a deep breath and dived into the water, gently. Swimming down as did the shiny item. "The sea is your home... Before birth... and after death." You heard him say above the water. "Our hearts beat in the womb of the world." His voice fading out because of how deep you were going. "Our breath burns in the shadows of the deep." Only a faint whisper, almost eerie from how far down you had gotten already. "The sea gives and the sea takes..." You were finally able to grab what he had tossed. It was a shell.

    "Water connects all things." You looked up at him and pushed off of the ground, letting all of your air out in the process. "Life... to death." He said, seeing you come back up. "Darkness to light." You hurried out of the water and walked up to him excitedly with the shell in hand. He was smiling.

"I got it!" You beamed proudly. "Yes, you did." He smiled and it seemed to look genuine.
