A Shell For Two | JWCC | Yaz x Fem Oc

"It's working, it's working!!" Darius exclaims. The group moves across the line before the Indominus takes down the observation tower.

"Fuck, fuck!" Hecate yells before the zipline snaps and they pummel to the ground. The girl is torn from her girlfriend and flies down near a large tree. She grunts as her chest hits the branch below. She gasps when she loses grasp of the pistol. It hits the branch below and goes off, the sound of the shot echoing through the forest.

The bullet spirals upwards, through the branch and into Hecate's arm, "Ah ow!!" She exclaims. The branch creaks before cracking and falling, taking the boxer with it.

She hits the ground with a thud and holds her arm to her chest. The gun lays a few feet next to her, she grabs it and puts it into the back of her jeans after flicking the safety on.

Hecate looks around, seeing everyone shakily stand. She leans against the tree, wincing when she hits her hurt arm. The young teen rummages through her bag before grabbing a random shirt and tying it around her wound, using it as a bandage.

Hecate hobbles over to Yaz and helps her up, "What happened?" Yasmina asks when she sees the makeshift bandage.

"Nothing big, just a scratch from the fall." She replies. Obviously, she's not gonna tell her that there's a bullet embedded in her arm. Roaring is heard in the distance, which they can all assume that it's the Indominus Rex.

"Where the hell is that thing?" Hecate asks herself

"It's coming." Ben says before whimpering in fear

"Shh! It could be anywhere." Kenji says

"The observation tower was that way? Or was it that way? I... " Brooklynn turns in circles before sighing and putting her head in her hands.

"Okay, I'm sorry, but I--" Darius says before gasping, "Where's-- No, no. My necklace, I left it in my bunk!" He exclaims, feeling around his neck.

"We've got slightly bigger problems than--" Yaz is cut off by roaring. The kids freeze.

"We have to run. Now!" Darius yells and starts at a full run. Hecate tosses the gun into her bag before taking off after the others, "Everything will be fine when we get back to camp!"

Everyone comes to a stop after arriving back at camp. Hecate gasps before covering her mouth. The camp is gone, broken and on the ground.

"Dave, Roxie, the other workers, they must've all gotten away." Kenji says

"Not all of them." Brooklynn says while looking at a flipped jeep. Hecate peers over, gasping again before bending over and hurling. The sight of mauled bodies wasn't something she needed to see again.

"Hello? Hello! Can anybody--?" Ben calls out before grunting and falling to the ground, "We're on our own." He sighs

Brooklynn turns on Sammy, "Give me my phone!"

"What?"

'I don't care about you sneaking into Dr. Wu's lab, I don't care about whatever you did with the skin samples you took from the sinoceratops--" Brooklynn exclaims, making everyone turn to her in confusion

"What?"

"What skin samples?"

"What were you doing in Dr. Wu's lab?"

Everyone starts asking questions. Why is Sammy here? Hecate asks herself

'I don't even care that you stole it now. All I wanna do is call for help! Where is it!?"

"Uh, I..." Sammy whimpers, wrapping her arms around herself, "I... I don't know what you're talkin' about! Skin samples? Sneaking into labs? You made up some crazy thing in your own dang head!"
