His eyes bore into mine, his presence felt like it was choking me. He chuckles, "Maybe you're just stupid. Or maybe you're desperate." He steps closer to me, "But I am also desperate. So I will accept your offer."
He grabs my chin, making me look directly at him. I narrowed my eyes. His grip was firm.
"I have a few conditions. First, you are in my territory, you cannot leave until the deal is up. If you try to harm me in any way, I will make you feel like you want to kill yourself. Trust me, I will make sure you will suffer. I will keep a close eye on you. One more thing, you are staying down at the dungeon. I don't trust witches, meaning I don't trust you. But like I said I'm desperate." He replied.
I took his hands off my chin with my hands. "I'm not that desperate now. I'm doing you a favor too, remember that." I say, taking a few steps back.
I wasn't going to accept those conditions. I was basically giving up my freedom. I was better off finding another pack that might help me. I should've just left when he said he didn't like witches.
Maybe I am really stupid.
He took a step closer to me. "Oh, so you're not that desperate now, are you? You think you can just come into my territory, ask me for some help, and then refuse to accept my conditions?" He replied.
"I didn't come here to be treated like a prisoner." I say, crossing my arms. "Like I said before, I'm doing you a favor."
He took another step towards me, and I took another step back. My back hits the wall.
"Do you really want to test my patience right now?" He says, his eyes darkening. "You have no idea what I'm capable of."
"You don't either," I replied coldly. I put my hands in my coat pocket, I gripped the dagger tightly. If anything goes south, I could use it. The last thing I was going to do was use my powers to harm someone.
"I can smell your fear. It's intoxicating. Addicting." He says, smirking.
"You think you can intimidate me?" I said low.
The alpha comes closer, basically breathing on me. I look up at him, not giving in. He had that same cold gaze on me, "Oh, believe me, I can do a lot more than intimidate you." He replied.
"I can just get out of here without things getting ugly. You can just stay sick if you want to be like this."
He puts his hand on my mouth, pulling my head back and banging my head on the wall. A muffled pain sound came out of my mouth. I was about to pull out the dagger, but he throws me across the room before I even could.
"You dare to disrespect me? In my own territory? In my own pack? You got balls." He replied, clearly angry.
The alpha's furious glare bore into me as I lay on the floor, my head throbbing in pain. I wouldn't be surprised if I got a concussion from that.
I tried to sit up, but my vision was still fuzzy. I could hear him walking towards me. "You need to learn your place," he growled.
It seemed like he thought he could do anything he wanted just because he was a leader. News flash, it doesn't work like that. No wonder his pack wasn't on good terms with another pack.
"What are you going to do, bite me?" I responded, trying to keep my voice steady despite the pain.
He walks over, towering over me. "I could do a lot worse than just bite you, you insolent little-" His sentence was cut short by me stabbing him with the dagger. His ankle was bleeding.
He stumbled back a bit. He moaned in pain, clearly not expecting the attack. His face was full of disbelief. "You're dead," he growled.
I stood up, trying to ignore the headache and dizziness. "You expected me not to fight back?" I replied, sounding out of it.
"I'll fucking kill you!" He roars. Despite the dagger that was in his ankle, he comes back over and punches me in the face.
I fall down on the floor. I felt the warm, metallic taste of blood in my mouth. My head was throbbing in pain, and my vision was still a bit blurry.
I tried to sit up, but he pushed me back down with his foot. My heart was racing in my chest.
He coughs a few times violently before speaking. "You're lucky I can't actually kill you." He huffs, "Not right away at least."
I couldn't reply to him, my throat was tight. Blood was streaming down my face and my head was spinning. My eyes struggled to stay open.
Use a spell, do something.
No, I couldn't. I promised myself I wasn't going to use magic for evil. I felt his feet getting off my body. He kneeled down with a sickening smile on his face.
He grabbed my throat, forcing me to look at him. Black dots were popping in my vision. "Looks like I'm going to enjoy breaking you, princess." He said, his voice dripping with malice.
Before you know it, I passed out. Everything went dark after what he had said to me.
