IT WAS THE NEXT DAY. I couldn't sleep all night. Lately, my sleep schedule has been off. Not counting the time I passed out for two days.
My eyes were full open, the sunlight covered my body. I just wanted to lay in bed, forever. I was so drained, yet I couldn't sleep.
I needed food. That's what I needed. I haven't ate in a couple of days. Three days to exact.
There was a knock at the door before someone opened it. It was one of the guards, "The alpha called for you." She said, "Get ready quick."
I quickly sat up. I threw up my legs over the side of the bed, my bare feet touching the cold floor. "Did he said what he wanted?" I asked the guard.
She shrugged, "He just wants to see you."
I rolled my eyes, "Let's just go." I said, walking over to the guard.
The guard led me down the familiar halls of the alpha's castle. Our footsteps echoed the halls. It was quiet.
As we entered the room, I saw Alpha Ares sitting down on the couch, with Alpha Falcon. I'm assuming that's Alpha Falcon.
Alpha Ares expression was cold and serious. "You can leave us now," Alpha Ares told the guard.
The guard leaves the room, leaving me with the two alphas. The room felt heavy, I stood there not knowing what to do.
"Come here," Alpha Ares commanded. I tried to hide my nervousness and walked over to the couch.
I sat on the other couch, having Alpha Falcon in more closer distance than Alpha Ares. Just in case Alpha Ares tries to do something.
"So this is the witch?" Alpha Falcon said, breaking the silence. I looked directly at Alpha Falcon. He was much younger than Alpha Ares. I didn't expect that.
"Yes it is," Alpha Ares says dryly.
Alpha's Falcon gaze turned to me, his eyes studying me intently. I quickly broke eye contact, looking away from him.
"She's smaller than I thought," Alpha Falcon said, his tone causal.
Alpha Ares looked annoyed at Alpha Falcon's remark, "Yes, she is smaller, but don't underestimate her."
Alpha Falcon narrowed his eyes at Alpha Ares. "I wasn't underestimating her," he said. "I was just making an observation."
"Can you guys not talk like I'm here?" I said, finally speaking up. Both alphas looked at me. Alpha Ares looked upset, While Alpha Falcon face looked apologetic.
"I heard you wanted to speak to me about something," Alpha Falcon says, changing the subject.
"Yes," I replied bluntly. "I did."
Alpha Falcon leaned back in his seat. "And what do you want to talk about?" He asked, his eyes still studying me.
I hesitated for a moment, choosing my words carefully. "Can we talk without..." I paused before I could say his name. I looked at Alpha Ares, then Alpha Falcon, trying to signal what I was saying.
Alpha Falcon quickly understood, "Give us five minutes Ares." He said coldly.
Alpha Ares expression hardened, I could tell he didn't like being dismissed. But he stood up, and exited the room without a word.
I knew later on I had to deal with the consequences about that. I knew he wanted to stay, just to hear what I was going to say.
I was left alone with Alpha Falcon. We sat in silence for a few seconds. I felt my palms getting sweaty. I was nervous.
