"I think it's best if we split up."

A simple conclusion with an ominous tie; words that intrigued the otherwise bore settling thick in the air. Nest appointed missions warranted two things: a waste of time, or something far sinister no man could ever conjure– evident in the events that transpired in the campus times before. Yet no matter the danger, the safety of the students and exploration into the mechanics behind insect entities were the utmost important aspect members of the prestigious Propolis had to uphold. At Nest, everyone worked together– for the most part; these separately designed missions said otherwise. But it was the information gathered from each and every venture into abandoned feeding facilities, interviews with supposed Breeder escapees (or the ones that even survive), and vacant Jungle Juice factories that were the sole tangent from civil Nest duties. Hope was what conjured the members standing here, in the middle of a concrete prison with exposed beams and tattered oddities, but the setting could be the least bit optimistic for the group. Another random building– were the thoughts of the students. Yet, Jaeseong– ever so positive in suggesting the divide– stood straighter than his already rigid pose allowed, and faced his members.

"Come on guys, the sooner we investigate the sooner we can all go back." He adjusted his glasses with a gloved index. "Now, who wants to go to the lowest level?"

As the group walked away in their respective pairs, you not so secretly clutched the clothed arm of your partner. "We get to go upstairs, at least." A quiet cheer sided your words, and even lightened when verdant irises fell upon you. Suchan offered a smile– albeit tired– and moved his arms closer in order to tuck you into the curve of his side.

"Yeah... I wonder how many stories are in this place..."

In sync, you both tilted to look up the worn down ceilings– of which contained battered openings to the floors above with protruding support beams. The building went up several levels– possibly five or six. As if sharing the same thought, your eyes met. Jaeseong didn't say which upstairs...

"So, I assume there's no stairs nearby..." An attempted joke that filled the otherwise damp atmosphere with a hint of delight. You laughed and leaned into his body murmuring a simple "I don't think so..." Before a grand idea struck. With bright eyes, you pulled back and squeezed his arm. Mischief swirled into your hues, he couldn't help but return your grin.

"You know," You began in a smooth tone. A hand trailed up his arm, tracing over the silver stitching along the sides and to the lapel before moving beyond to his shoulder. "I think we can get up there..." Your tone quieted, waiting for him to finish the slightly riddled thought. The corners of his mouth turned. Suchan weighed to the side and snaked his arms around your waist– which brought you forward flush chest to chest. A giggle escaped, produced from his arms tightening and you clasping the embrace over his shoulders.

"Hmm, I don't think I follow, babe..." His voice resonated through you, igniting your veins in tingling excitement. You teased a touch down the nape of his neck, one he thoroughly enjoyed. A small laugh huffed from his lips as he rocked you from side to side in innocent excitement. You brushed a small strand from his neat hair, tickling his cheekbone in the process.

"Yes you do..." The ending vowel drawled on in teasing suggestion, especially when you leaned to brush your lips over the shell of his ear. "What complex do you have...?"

Suchan smiled, one arm loosening and falling towards your legs.

"Dragonfly."

In a moment, Suchan settled his arm to the bend of your knees and hoisted you up into his body before ascending into the air. The cold night air fwooshed against your face in an exhilarating way that had your heart practically leaping from your chest. He accelerated up to just a height where you felt weightless from the peak. Up and up he had taken you, in the span of a couple fleeting seconds. The quiet drone of his fluttering wings dulled out the excitement bubbling inside of you. And the whole experience was all too fast you could hardly stand when he hovered over to a concrete edge and settled you down.
