"What!? Ain't no way I'm going through your phone....like why are you okay with that?"

He shrugged. "There's nothing interesting to be found..."

"I can't take this Togame, what if they ask why I'm having your phone?"

He grinned. "Nothing to be scared off, loosen up [name], you just tell them I gave it to you because I feel like doing it and hang up."

"But weren't you scared of being there a misunderstading of me as your girl-"

"I rarely recieve calls unless it's Choji or my mom."

"No, no, no I'm not taking-"

"Ah, just don't reply or pick up to an unknown number."

When I reached Dad's cafe, Atticus immediately wagged his tail and jumped, welcoming me home.

"Atticus! What have you eaten today?" I smiled, brushing my dog's fur.

"There you are, you're back," Dad said from behind the counter.

"Hmm." I hummed in reply.

"So where's the baking soda I sent you on an errand for?"

"Uh..."

After spending hours helping Dad around, I decided to take a break and eat some lunch. I sat on one of the tables and just as I was about to take a bite of my doughnut, a muffled buzzing came from my pocket.

Togame's phone.

I tugged out the phone with its caller address being a guy named Choji. I debated whether to pick it up or not despite Togame's words. I decided it could be important and pressed the green button as I pulled the phone closer to my ear.

I instantly regreted it.

"KAME-CHAN! KAME-CHAN!" A voice full of energy boomed through the speaker as my ear rang in pain.

"Get this Kame-chan!" The boy on the other line continued. "I saw a big ginger cat on my way home, like a very, very, very big cat, how do I exactly put this!? Hmm...let's say the size of a small fluffy dog! Oh, oh, oh, speaking of fluffy, did I mention the cat is super fluffy? like really fluffy, did I mention that? I didn't, right? I probably didn't mention it! Oh, silly me! Oh mention of being silly, did I mention about the silly kids who poke the cat, did I? Did I?"

"Uh...hell-" The boy who sounded like he had been eating a packet of sugar all day immediately cut me off.

"I didn't mention it, right? Of course, I didn't!" He laughed. "So, anyway, there was this group of stupid elementary kids and they started poking and pinching the cat, and I chased them all off! Then I began catching them one by one and gave them a lesson but one kid I could not find."

"Woah, good job!"

"So, so, so, the cat came to me and we stared at each other for a while and, and, get this! The cat glanced at the alleyway behind me, and I found the kid! I gave him a nice and good lesson!"

"Choji-"

"See, see, see, didn't I tell you, I'm a cat whisperer! You didn't believe me at first!"

I scoffed. "The cat probably just saw the boy and glanced at it."

"What!?" He retorted. "No, not everyone is probably able to understand a cat like that and the cat won't approach everyone like that!"

"Animals glance at everything that moves next to them, especially in a quiet place, and especially at someone they remember."
