I silently handed him the bag that I swore was heavier than how it looked.
He opened it. "For me?"
I nodded.
"You made them?"
"Dad made them."
"Do thank him for me."
I tried my best to shove off the burning sensation I felt from his friends boring their eyes at me. Like a pebble in a shoe.
"All because you won't give me your contact number." I grumbled, my mood dropping every moment past. I fought the intense urge to yell at the boys to stop gawking at us like an idiots.
"Hmm?" Togame exchanged glances between me and his members before he chuckled. "I would really appreciate it if everyone could stop staring at her."
The boys perked up in realization as their eyes quickly dropped away from us. Much better now, I finally felt at ease.
"What's this? Your cheeks almost turn red." He teased, only for the both of us to hear.
"So, where do you live now?" I dodged his sentence.
"You see, I don't want another rock breaking my windows." He remarked, bringing up the past.
I drew closer to him. "It was years ago, alright?" I hissed, making sure no one overheard us. "Plus, it was an accident, don't bring it up again, okay?"
Lie. It was not an accident at all. Back when I was in fourth grade, he pissed me off so much once that I hurled a rock against his bedroom window.
"Is it so? What about that time you tried to break in through my window?"
Okay, this time it was a complete misunderstanding. It was a complete accident. I did not do such thing.
"Don't flatter yourself-"
"What's this!?" A new voice came, his aura intense, hoarding all our attention immediately. "Why are so many of you here?"
A short boy with beige hair coloured skipped energetically toward us. Judging from the way everyone stopped what they were doing, he seemed important.
"What's this? A game of chess?" The members nodded and explained what had happened.
"But that's so boring!" He cried. "Like, where's the fun in that!?"
"Girlie over there made it feel like a battleground." They said, pointing at us.
He turned to look at us. "Oh, Kame-chan, look--eh? Who are you?"
He must be Choji.
"Uh...?"
Choji hopped at such a speed before us that I jolted, and stumbled back a bit before Togame's hand reached for my arm.
