Fate had something against him. It was the only way to explain it. He endured the meeting with the crew and rushed away as soon as he could. Hiding in his new office wasn't probably the best idea but he needed to calm down. Seeing friends after those years was overwhelming. Third, collapsed on the unsightly red couch and buried his head in his hands. The image of Kahi's handsome face popped into his mind. Third groaned, allowing his arms to fall back. He couldn't let the walls he built crashing down because Khai was back in his life. 

The knock on the door startled him. He glanced at the entrance, considering to send the person away. Third didn't want to come across as cold right from the start, so he stood up and walked to the door. He opened them after a brief moment of hesitating. 

"Hi, Third. Can we talk?" 

Third, scanned the anxious face of his former friend before stepping aside and allowing him to come in. Two was standing awkwardly in the middle of the room, and Third felt bad for him even though they parted ways in a not-so-good way. 

"What do you want to talk about?" He started the conversation. His tone was probably colder than he intended. Two glanced at him as he walked around to sit at his place behind the table. He shouldn't feel superior, he shouldn't want to show Two how well he did after they basically abandoned him. But here he was, looking at the man he still considered a friend, even though he hurt him. 

"If you have nothing to say, you should leave and don't waste our time, Two. I am sure, I am not the only one busy here." He looked at him meaningfully. 

"I just wanted to apologize." Two's words echoed through the room. Third didn't take his eyes off him. His heart squeezed painfully. He wanted his friend back, but he was too afraid. 

"I will accept your apology but don't expect our friendship to be restored quickly. He answered in the end.
