I mean, isn't it obvious? My primary goal is to save the villainess... How could I work for her murderer?

Leonas furrowed his eyebrows, not used to rejection.

"Miss L/N, I believe you're mistaken. You see, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity."

"I'm aware, your highness."

Sigh... How arrogant does this prince have to be to expect me to accept his offer immediately? I mean, I knew he was narcissistic and arrogant from the story, but experiencing it first-hand is different...

"Your highness, you already have her answer. I believe there is no need to continue this conversation."

Without another word, Elise takes my hand and drags me out of the room... more roughly than how she usually would...

"Elise... slow down! He's still royalty, you can't just leave like that..."

She stops in her tracks.

"Royalty or not, I'm not letting anyone take away my favourite servant."

Favourite servant...? I'm her personal servant.

"Lady Alphonse, slow down for a moment..."

The heroine comes rushing from behind us. Elise glares at her.

"What do you want, commoner?"

Sheesh... they haven't even become enemies in the story at this stage... why can I see sparks flying between them?

Alisa walks towards me and places something in my hands.

"Thank you, Y/N."

And she leaves. Just like that, leaving the now-even-more-furious villainess with me...

"N/N, let's go back now."

"But you haven't-"

"Now."

I sigh inwardly... seriously, did I do something to make her mad?

After heading back to the mansion, the villainess went back to her own room without a word... that's quite unusual... she normally never wants to leave my side. Oh well, she must be in her rebellious phase.

I head back to my room as well. Despite being a servant, I've always felt that I was treated differently... my bedroom is twice the size of the other servants', it even comes with a huge bathtub...

Even though I'm slightly older than the villainess, I'm always the one getting spoiled huh...

I open my bedroom door.

There's a woman sitting on my bed.

I recognise her from somewhere.

Isn't she... the hot- *ahem* assassin?

"Oh, you're finally back, Y/N"

I feel like I'm missing something here.

"Uhm... Why are you here?"

She gets up at walks towards me. She pins me against the- hold on. What?!

"Awww... How could you say that to the one who fulfilled your desire?"
