I'm back with yet another chapter! Just a warning, this chapter might be giving you a little too many plot twists... if it feels like it doesn't make sense, it will when the full story is out. :3
I've seen many theories from the readers, and honestly feel a little surprised because they were really good ideas, and I've had a few "why didn't I think of that?!" moments... let's just hope this ending isn't the kind to disappoint you!Happy reading from your author,
Baldie

I'm tired.
Living the life of an npc, working a nine to five job at a random company as an average white-collared worker was my life. Dull, nothing significant.
Things were peaceful that way, weren't they?
But still, was it wrong of me not to be satisfied with this? A side character, the stepping stone for others... how could I be content?
I fulfil my purpose as a side character, and then what? Just... die?
"We're hiring a new promising worker, and our company is already full, see..."
"...I understand,"
"That's great, then please do be prepared to leave by Monday,"
So even side characters can't keep their jobs?
I returned home early, lugging my stuff behind me. I put them away before heading to my desk. Well, time to look for a new job.
I opened up my computer, the bright screen illuminating part of the dim room, just a little. My eyes were heavy, as I stared through half-lidded ones. Brushing my fingers across the keys, just as I was familiar with, I began typing.
A small vibration came from my pocket, and I fished my phone out. A notification popped up on the screen.
"Would you like to change your life?"
[yes] [no]
Huh, isn't it obvious? Whatever, it's just a scam anyways... I tossed my phone onto the desk, exhausted, I then plopped down onto my bed.
[yes selected: Preparing for transfer. Timer countdown: 10 days 21 hours]

Three days had passed since then, I applied for a job at a new company. It was pretty decent, and my superiors there were nice. Was it finally time for my life to change?
I'll be starting my new job officially tomorrow...
That day, I received a parcel. Opening up the box, I found an old book inside it. I picked it up, and skimmed through the story.
Who left this here? A wrong delivery?
"Sis, come out! Dinner is ready!"
Placing the book down, I head out to the dining room. I had my dinner before shutting myself back in my room. I stared at the book for a few moments before opening it again.
The story was fascinating... yet tragic.
As I flipped to the last page, there was... nothing. At that point of the story, the prince was going to inherit the throne... and the heroine was going to have her happy ending. The villainess, their largest obstacle, had already been eliminated.
After all that, a sentence appeared on the back page of the book.
"How would you have written it, saviour?"
What...? I furrowed my brows, examining the book closely. "Saviour"?
No matter, focus on finding the ending...
I opened up my computer, searching up the book...No results? That can't be...

"Newbie, you're spacing out. Can you bring this file to boss?"
"Huh? Right, of course..."
Weird, what was that...?
The day was over pretty fast, with way too many things on my mind. Walking back home, I had a splitting headache... in that moment, I could've sworn I heard something...
"Saviour,"
...
Have I gone mad from drinking so much coffee?
Who am I kidding?
That was no ordinary book...
_____________________________________I returned home, shoving my bag to the side as I headed to my room. I flipped opened the pages of that book.
As I looked closer, another notification popped up on my phone.
[Initiating transfer: you must... save...]
I died.

It's been years since I've entered the book. I've reincarnated as the villainess' servant. Lately, I've been hearing weird things in my head.
Haven't I successfully saved the villainess? I've uncovered so many secrets regarding the other users... then why does it feel like something is missing?
Is it... a part of myself?
I looked into the reflection...
I can't see myself.
"With great power..."
Comes great responsibility, right?
"No..."
What?
"You're not who you think you are..."
Clearly, I'm...
The saviour, right?
_____________________________________[Time: Unknown]
The kingdom is burning. Buildings are on fire, people are dying... the only one out there fighting is the heroine.
"What's the situation outside?"
"We're not sure, Prince Leonas... Miss Alisa is out there, but we can't see the situation... there's some barrier,"
How could this have happened? The ending...
You're not who you think you are.
What am I?

"Are you sure about this?"
"I am,"
"The system, it's all..."
"It doesn't matter... she'll fix it,"
"Very well. In that case, then..."
"Wipe it all out, everything and everyone. Leave it to her to rewrite the story,"
"Will you be fine without your memories?"
"Of course... god will guide me,"
...
"It's done. I'll send you back, then,"
"When you come back... you'll be an entirely different person... my saviour,"

Turning back, the hooded figure walked away from the kingdom, or whatever was left of it.
"For you, I'll wait another century... promise you'll come back to me. For now, I'll play the role as..."
She pulls down her hood, revealing her perfectly sculpted face. This person...
"Your god,"
