Chapter 10- Tangled Threads: Unveiling Lies

As the morning sun spread across the green field of Trinity, Shirley reached there by her school bus. She was ready to face Ron, the liar, for all the lies, taunts and torture she went through all Monday. Ron came in, all excited about the school. With time, he came to hate Shirley so much for no fault of hers. Trevor woke up early, too. He wanted to surprise Shirley by visiting the school during dispersal. He was so happy imagining how happy Shirley would be after seeing him. A forgotten enemy was still awaiting with an evil plan for Shirley. Trevor had to save her.

Shirley Pov:

I entered the class and saw Ron standing in front of me. His evil smile portrayed his hatred that he would do anything to make me cry or hurt me. I also looked at him with the same disdain, but I never got why he hated me so much. I was back with the same confident attitude. During the interval, Ron began his usual antics of taunting and mocking.

He expressed his fake concern," Look, Ronnie Trevor is suffering so much back at home. Our friend is so deceived by someone pretending to be innocent." I also turned to him, " Mary, some people lie and express fake concern. While Trevor is very much okay at home, he does not blame anybody except Trex." Ron felt exposed in front of me. He had no idea about how I could have met Trevor or how I learned about his lies. It felt so good to see Ron losing in his own game. I am not a fool that would let a loser win with his lies.

Ron Pov:

I was ready to defeat Shirley with my taunts. It would feel so nice to see her depressed. However, today, she did not show any sadness or guilt. She smiled, turned towards Mary, and said, "Some people lie and express fake concern. While Trevor is very much okay at home, he does not blame anybody except Trex." I do not know how Shirley knew the truth. Is it possible that she had met Trevor? I could see her confidence rising again. Was my plan failing? On Monday, she was so quiet and felt guilty about getting Trevor suspended. How could it all vanish within a day? Was there a secret meeting between Trevor and Shirley? I do not know about it yet.

Trevor Pov:

I laid back in my bed early in the morning. I was waiting for the chance to leave for school. My mother scolded me yesterday for leaving the house. I told her I had only been to the cafe and had promised my mother that I would not get into another fight. I had planned to surprise Shirley during dispersal time. I was imagining how happy she would be to see me. This would make up for my absence from school. My mother left for my aunt's home at noon. I left soon after her. I would reach school by dispersal time.

Shirley Pov:

After Ron got a hint that I knew the truth, he backed out from his plan of annoying me. He kept a distance from me for the whole day. I was walking out of the gates with Mary. I turned to look towards Trevor's parking spot. I was happy when I saw him standing there talking to Ronnie. A smile spread on my face on seeing Trevor. I guess he has planned this visit to surprise me. He looked at me from the side corners of his eyes and smiled slightly. He was wearing a dark green half-T-shirt and blue jeans. His strange tattoos made him look even more incredible. That shy smile gave him an innocent look. Ron was standing there silently in a corner. He felt pissed off at Trevor for coming here to surprise me.

Trevor Pov:

I reached school five minutes before the dispersal bell. I sat at my usual parking spot, waiting for Shirley to come out. I saw Mary coming out, followed by Shirley, who looked at me. The way her eyes twinkled after seeing me. That sweet smile and her innocent face blew my heart away once more. I felt my heart skipped a beat after seeing her. This is what I had imagined all night. I could not confront Ron about his lies. If I did so, he would come to know that I had met Shirley outside school. It was a secret between Shirley and me. She liked this surprise and climbed her bus with a smile.

I saw her bus leaving, but I had no intention of stalking her, so I did not follow her school bus. I was going home when I noticed someone else following her school bus, Trex, as expected. I knew Trex was a stalker. He was trying to trace Shirley's home so he could stalk her. This would be a danger to her safety and privacy. I had to follow him and stop him.

Trevor visits the school at dispersal time to surprise Shirley. She loves this surprise too. Both of them are so happy to see each other. Ron is not happy about it. When Shirley's bus leaves school, Trevor notices Trex is trying to follow her. He follows Trex to stop him without Shirley noticing it.

Shirley Pov:

I felt happy that Trevor did not follow me. A guy who likes me does not mean he has to follow me everywhere I go. The school bus dropped me off at the bus stop at our society gate. There is a small road that leads to my bungalow. I don't mind walking down because it is very green and peaceful.

When I was about to enter the road, I saw a bike approaching me. I recognized that evil smile, Trex. He had followed me from school. He was waiting for me to walk to my home. Once he knew my exact location, he would not let me be at peace. I could not figure out what to do next. Then, a bike zoomed past me from behind. It was Trevor. He stood before Trex, warning him that he should leave from there. I stood there frozen. I only wished them not to start fighting again.

Trevor Pov:

I had no option but to follow Trex. I knew he would stop somewhere near Shirley's home to scare her out. I avoided Shirley's view so she would not feel I was following her. I was right. Trex stood on the other end of the bus stop where the main gates to Shirley's society started.

I had to reveal to Shirley that I was there too. I went past her and stood before Trex's bike, " You are not going to follow her, Trex. Not now nor ever. I would not leave you this time, even if you think of stalking her. Leave from here right now." Trex knew I was not joking, so he decided to leave, and I went with him. I hope that Shirley won't misunderstand me. I was only trying to save her from Trex.

Shirley Pov:

I know Trevor is not a stalker, but Trex is one. Once he would come to know my address, he would disrupt my peace and privacy. I felt slightly relaxed when I saw Trevor standing before Trex, warning him to leave from there. Trex left from there, and Trevor left, too. I felt happy that he understood I would not like him to follow me to my home. I know that Trevor was here only to save me from Trex. He once again did something that I wanted him to.

Trevor surprised Shirley by visiting the school during dispersal. He came to school during dispersal daily for the rest of the days. Shirley waited for dispersal only to see Trevor waiting outside. Trex tried to stalk Shirley by following her school bus to her home. Trevor follows Trex and takes him away, leaving Shirley in safety and peace. Both of them understood that it was a nice thing to do. In this way, the whole week was passed for them. Ron's planning to pick on Shirley went to the trash due to Trevor's plan. It was Sunday, and Trevor will be back at school tomorrow. Trevor looked at the 'S'tattoo design he had drawn in his notebook. He adds a few more words to it. He had a new plan to propose to Shirley. This Monday will be the best day for these enemies to become good friends. They are about to move to the next stage of this relationship very soon :-)
