Discoveries, a kidnapped student and memory loss

Chapter eleven
Third person view
"We've been in that bathroom so many times, and she's there just three stalls away," Ron commented bitterly at the breakfast table the next morning. "And we could have asked her, and now..."
It had been quite difficult to find the spiders. Escaping from the teachers long enough to sneak into a girls' bathroom, and even more so the girls' bathroom right next to the scene of the first attack, was going to be nearly impossible.
Three days before the first exam, Professor McGonagall gave another warning at breakfast.
"I have good news," he said, and the students in the Hall, instead of remaining silent, started talking.
"Dumbledore will come back!" exclaimed several students with joy.
"They caught Slytherin's heir!" shouted shrilly a girl at the Ravenclaw table.
"Quidditch games are starting again!" shouted Oliver excitedly.
When the noise subsided, the teacher said:
"Professor Sprout informed me that the mandrakes are finally ready to be harvested. Tonight, we will be able to resurrect the students who were petrified. There will be no need to remind everyone that one of them might be able to tell us who or what attacked them. I am hopeful that this dark year will end with the capture of the culprit."
A wave of relief passed through Isaac's chest, and he released the breath he hadn't even realized he was holding. Hermione would be fine, that was all that mattered.
He glanced at the Slytherin table and was not at all surprised to see that Draco Malfoy was not happy. Ron, however, looked happier than he had in the last few days.
"Then it won't make any difference that we never asked Myrtle anything!' he told the two. "Hermione will probably have all the answers when they wake her up! Plus, you're going to go crazy when you find out that we're going to have exams in three days. She didn't study. It would be more charitable if they left her where she is until the exams are over."
Just then Ginny Weasley came over and sat down next to Ron. She looked tense and nervous and Harry noticed that she was wringing her hands in her lap.
"What happened?" Ron asked, helping himself to more porridge.
Ginny said nothing, but looked from one end of the Gryffindor table to the other with a terrified expression on her face that reminded Isaac of someone, although he couldn't quite place who.
"Spit it out," said Ron, watching her.
Isaac suddenly realized who Ginny looked like. He was rocking back and forth in his chair, just like Dobby did when he was hesitating, just before revealing the forbidden information.
