Beomgyu hummed, subtly smiling watching the ants on the ground, working on a sand.
"You can't choose who you'll love, my pookie. If you truly love someone, you'll feel it in your heart. You can't explain why you like them, it's like magic."
"But, grandma, what if I haven't known the... the guy I think I might like for that long?" he pouted, playing his grandma's garment dress.
His grandmother chuckled softly. "Beomie, it doesn't matter how long you've known someone to decide if you like or love them. Just like what happened with your grandfather, it was love at first sight for me."
Beomgyu carefully pondered his feelings.
And realization hits him.
It was confirmed, he loves Taehyun. He hadn't realized in the short time they spent together, he had grown to care deeply for him, not just as his nanny but as a man.
At first, he admitted he was confused, thinking he might only pity the younger because of his unique condition, but he was wrong.
It wasn't pity he felt.
"Grandma..." Beomgyu broke the comforting hug to look up his grandmother. Jung-hee sweetly smiling at him.
"It's okay with me if there's a man you love, but I hope... I hope you don't copy what your mother did. Men have different characters. Make sure first that he loves you and that he can stand for you, my bear."
He didn't know. Especially now, everything was even more chaotic.
"D-Don't worry, grandma, I won't copy my mom, I'll finish my studies before love."
"That's not what I mean, grandchild... you can love or have a relationship with anyone you want. You're at the right age now, which is an inspiration for you. I know, you know your limitations, but for me... Don't give everything, save it for yourself too."
"Thank you, Grandma~ I love you so much!" Beomgyu embraced his grandmother tightly, filled with emotion.
"I love you too, my redhead bear. Whoever the man you choose, he's very lucky to have you. Come, let's sleep now, it's already late."
"You called me tons of nickname right now, Grandma~"
"That's shows how I really love you, my one n' only bear~"
Beomgyu laughed and guided his grandmother back into their house, settling beside her to sleep.

The next morning, he woke up early and prepared breakfast for him and Grandma Jung-hee. Just then, Ryujin and Eunseok arrived at their house, both surprised to see him there.
"WHAT THE FUDGE, CHOI BEOMGYU! YOU CHERRY HEAD! Why didn't you tell us you were coming home?! We could have picked you up at the pier!" Ryujin announced, scrawling him.
"I'm all fine, drama queen~ I purposely didn't tell you so I could surprise Grandma. Wait, I have gifts for you, let me just grab them quickly!" he went into his room and retrieved two paper bags.
"My gosh, Beomie! You shouldn't have bothered. Looks like these gifts are quite expensive!" Ryujin exclaimed in amazement as she inspected some clothes, chocolates, and perfumes that Beomgyu bought for them. There were also makeup items.
"Yeah, Beom, it's okay with us even if you didn't bring any gifts." Eunseok commented, holding the gift Beomgyu brought for him, a sport t-shirt and watch.
"Is that so? It's fine. Besides, consider it my thank you to you both for looking after Grandma." he replied.
"How many days are you here, Beomie? Maybe we can visit the town while you're still here. There's a parade in town tomorrow, let's watch!" Ryujin suggested, encircling her arm around Beomgyu's shoulder.
