There have also been reports of all sorts of creatures being disturbed and agitated people were getting hurt left and right and it was causing a panic, which ultimately led to more people getting hurt.
At home, it wasn't much calmer. Elenor's studies were going well, and she was doing fine. Nori though was getting agitated. Someone was sending messages and photos to her claiming that River was cheating on her.
Nori showed them to him and they both agreed it was a bunch of bullcrap but they just kept coming.
They tried to block the person or even find him but somehow the messages just kept coming, and River noticed that they seemed to be upsetting Nori and he hated the fact that he couldn't do anything for her except be there.
A week after the presentation, River was returning home from work when his scroll buzzed. He pulled it out, to meet with a text from Tom asking him to meet at a nearby coffee shop.
River walked into the coffee shop and immediately spotted where Tom was. He walked over to the table and sat across from him.

"River I'm glad you came I have some things I want to talk with you, nothing too serious," Tom said as he slid a coffee cup over to River.
He took a sip. It tasted very sweet with a lot of creamers in it, just the way he liked it.
Tom took a sip of his coffee before smiling "So how's life enjoying all the chaos that's happening recently?"
River scoffed "Are you kidding its hectic people are coming left and right. You said you have friends in the new council do you know what's happening?"
"Yeah some of the past scouts have been coming to me and Hunter for help or advice even more than normal nowadays and to be honest we have no idea what is happening, but there's more," Tom replied
"What do you mean?" River asked
"All sorts of different environmental issues have been popping up lately, the creatures are acting up, but there are also the minor things. You know of the new hotel that popped up after Bellos's defeat, The Sterling Inn?" Tom asked
River nodded. "Yeah I've heard of it didn't they provide a lot of funds and jobs for the rebuilding of the isles?"
Tom nodded "They did but the problem is no one has ever even heard of the owner before. It's almost like Vivienne Sterling was not around until the hotel was. Not to mention almost all of her employees are former criminals some of them are even ones that I tangled with yet they seem perfectly calm all of a sudden.
"Could it just be they wanted to reform and Vivienne gave them that chance?" River asked.
"It's possible it's just with that plus I've been told that the prisoners of The Conformatorium have been more active plus some jerk has been taking advantage of people's fears by selling them safety devices that he promises will shield them from all harm which just turns out to be junk he put an illusion on." Tom fumed before he swirled his coffee.
