River stared at her his mouth gapped open trying to comprehend what he had just heard

"I what why Nori I don't understand."

Nori rolled her eyes  "Please you can't fool me anymore I saw the proof."

River was beyond confused "What are you talking about."

Nori scoffed "Ok then we're playing this the hard way fine." She slid 3 photos across the counter as River approached them and looked down at them.

The photos showed him and another girl that he has never seen before kissing.

River stared at them trying to figure out what was happening "Nori that wasn't me who ever took those photos must have faked them."

"I took those photos." Nori's voice filled with venom.

"Well then that wasn't me someone must have put up an illusion spell Nori please lis-"

River was cut off as Nori slammed a device on the counter. River knew what it was, and he did not like the direction this was taking.

"You know what this is?" Nori asked crossing her arms her anger masking her tears.

River knew what it was but he didn't dare speak so Nori continued.

"I created this device to detect magic, specifically for security purposes and illusions. I didn't want to believe the messages I've received this past week. I kept thinking they were fake, just some twisted individual trying to drive a wedge between us for their own sick, demented reasons. So, when today's message gave me an address and a time claiming you'd be 'cheating on me,' I brought this device along to catch the jerk in the act."

Nori's hand was clenched so tightly that her knuckles turned white. Her voice trembled with a mix of anger and hurt as she continued, "But it didn't detect any illusions. What I saw was real. I saw you kissing another girl. No tricks, no magic—just the painful truth."

Her eyes welled up with tears as she took a shaky breath, struggling to maintain her composure. "I trusted you, and I thought you were worth fighting for. Now, I don't even know what to believe anymore. The device showed me the reality I hoped wasn't true, and it shattered everything I thought we had. Was it just a mistake, or was this something you were hiding all along? Was anything we had real or were you also just using me for your own image?"

"Nori I would never I don't know what it was or how they looked like me without magic but I swear I do care for you what we had was real and I would never just use you." River tried to approach her but she held up a hand.

Nori's face hardened "If that wasn't you where were you at 4:00?"

"I was with Tom we were chatting and having coffee I swear he can conform." River hastily said

Nori raised her eyebrow "And you were still talking with him three hours later when you wouldn't pick up your scroll?"

No, he wasn't he was talking with some random stranger who was teleporting and flying all over the place. River wasn't even sure if he was real or not but he still told her what happened.
