My body was numb as I grasps onto the arms of my chair. Some people thought it was a good idea to unbuckle their seatbelt and float around in the rocket ship. It was fun and games until we entered Earth's atmosphere.
I held my best friend's, Clarke, hand tightly as she gave me a reassuring look. "It's going to be okay (y/n)." I hope.
As the rocket ship came closer to the ground, my body became more tense. I could feel the heat of the rocket while it's darted through the clouds. I was sure it was on fire now. I shudder at the thought of the rocket setting into flames. I look out the enormous window to see trees, my heart was filled with joy and fear. I seal my eyes shut as the rocket ship made impact with the ground.
Everyone was filled with amazement as the rocket doors open. As soon as I came outside, my body was filled with happiness. I began to wander around and take in the scenery. My nose tingle as I breathe in sweet wonderful air. My feet were comfortable as they pressed onto the soft surface of the soil instead of the hard surface of the Ark's metal ground. Within 5 minutes of being on the ground, I fell in love with Earth already. From the non-artificial trees to the water, everything seems real to me for once. I realize that I was finally happy.
Soon things fell apart. Bellamy have declared himself as the leader and some jerk named John Murphy started beating everyone up. I, for once, did not want to be a part of that so I went for a walk.
About half an hour later, I stumble across a glow in the dark forest. My eyes were filled with bewilderment as a glow in the dark butterfly landed on my finger. I examined it for a second before it flew away.
"Who are you?" a voice spoke causing me to jump.
I look up to see a girl, about my age, holding a bow and arrow pointed at me. I raise my hands up high for her to see that I mean no harm.
"Look," I start to talk, "I mean no harm, I just got to Earth from space and I'm looking-." I was cut off.
"Space?" she looks at me as if I was an alien, "Why the hell were you in space?"
I was about the answer when I look to up the sky to see a flock of birds flying, the sky was filled with loud caws. At my feet, bugs of all kind were scurrying in the same direction as the birds. I look back at the girl again to see that behind, there was yellow fog of some kind. The girl looks at me with fear in her eyes. "Run!" she screams.
After a few seconds of running, I spotted a cave where we could hide from the fog. I turn back, to tell the girl that I found a cave only to see that she has fallen with the fog nearly breaching her. For a moment I was debating on wether to save in or not. In the end, I quickly run towards her.
I pulled her up but she stopped me. "I fractured my ankle, go on without me." She looks at me with pleading eyes. Flashbacks of cliche movies came across my mind where the protagonist keep repeating, "Leave no man behind."
I forcefully placed her arm over my shoulders as she look at me with a confused expression. I bent down and with all my strength, lifted her. I hurried to the cave. As I nearly got to the cave, the fog made contact with my left leg, causing it to burn. I winced, Even though it burns, I kept going.
I finally got to safety so I placed the girl on a boulder in the cave. I quickly fell down as pain struck through my body. I held on tight to my leg as I yelled in pain. The girl got up and limp towards me. I slowly back away, fearing that she was going to kill me.
"I'm not going to hurt you." she stated. She bent down in front of me and pull out a canteen that had been attached to her belt.
"Hold on," her gaze was focused on my leg as she talked, "this is going to hurt." She slowly poured the liquid onto my leg. Every inch of it starts to burn causing me to throw my head back and scream in agony. I look down to see that the bubbles on my legs started bleeding.
The girl ripped a piece of her shirt and held it in front of me. She tied it around my leg to stop the bleeding and soon, the pain was gone.
"Thank you," I look at her, "for helping me. I'm (y/n) by the way.'
"It was the least I can do," she stared at me, I could tell that she was slowly warming up to me, "Also, Lexa."
She held out her hand and I shook it, for a seconds we stared at each other. I almost thought we had a moment. That night, we waited to the fog to pass as we talked to each other about multiple things. I told her about the 100, the Ark and how I was put in prison by being born. She told me about the grounders, reapers, Anya and how she was her second in command, training to be a leader. Spending time with her, I finally felt like someone finally understand me. I finally felt like I belong with someone.
"You know, Lexa, I'd rather spend time with you than being with the 100." I told her as I my hand slides into her's.
"And I'd rather spend time with you than training with Anya," she squeezed me hand for reassurance, "she's so harsh sometimes." She let out a soft chuckle and I laughed with her.
I look over at her and look at her. She stared back at me. My eyes were fixed on her. She was beautiful, every inch of her. Her soft, tangled hair was tied up perfectly, fit for a warrior. Her face was perfectly defined and her big green orbs made her look so innocent, but she's anything but that. I found myself flickering between her eyes and her pink plump lips. They look so warm and kissable.
Finally I found myself leaning in, but I stopped myself before I made contact. My lips were centimetres away from her's. She stares at me, her eyes begging me to kiss her. I finally did. It was the perfect mix between passion and sparks. Her lips tasted sweet, like honey. I licked her bottom lips for access and she opened her mouth. Our tongues danced together and it was amazing.
She pulled away and I could already see the regret in her eyes. "I'm sorry I can't, it's been too long." she said making me confused.
I moved in closer to Lexa as I spoke, "What's wrong?"
"My ex-girlfriend was kidnapped by the Ice Nation and was torture for information about me. She died because of me," I could she tears running down her face in the light of the cave, "I don't want that happening again."
"I don't know if you know this about me, Lexa, but I'm a fighter," I laced my fingers with her's, "and have been, every since I was born. I can fend for myself."
She leaned in and kissed me again, her hand lightly caressing my face. Her face was roughly pressed against mine. We continued like that for a few moments before she pulled away.
"I think the fog cleared up, I think we should get back to our camps." I nod and stood up. I held her hand as both of us limped out of the cave into broad daylight.
