At the distant entrance of the courtyard, a few passersby stop at a street stall; the slight smell of food permeates the air.

Helen rubs his stomach, and murmurs to himself, "I've got to go get a midnight snack."

"Let's go,"Prapai says suddenly.

Helen stares at the side of his face, "......Okay."

Seeing more customers come, the barbeque stall owner greets them enthusiastically, "What would you like? I have everything! Everything here is clean and delicious. Look at how many people come at night."

"It smells good," he says while closing his eyes and Having his nose into it. Helen knows best when it comes to street food. He takes a look around, nods his head firmly, and starts to order. And ordered around 10 skewers.

"What you eat for this night snack is almost the food intake of a proper meal."Prapai says as he hears how much he is ordering.

"Leave me alone."Helen says without even looking at him.

The owner laughs as he fetches more ingredients. He looks at Prapai, "Young man, what would you like to have?"

Prapai has both of his hands in his pockets. He glances at the different foods available, "I'm okay."

"Kun khab,This guy is otherworldly. Don't mind him."Helen says casually.

Prapai gives him side eyes, then smirks. But Helen is behaving like the otherworldly guy isn't even standing beside him. His whole attention is on food.

Helen smiles, "Kun khab, how much is it?"

The owner adds up the totals, and then waves his arm generously, "It'll be 260 Bahts."

"Okay!" Helen reaches into his pocket to fetch the money. At the same time, he sees Prapai also reaching into his jacket's pocket. He takes out his wallet, and hands some bills to the stall owner.

Helen quickly holds out his money, "I'll pay for myself."

Prapai lifts his arm to cover over Helen's and puts the money into the stall owner's hand. The stall owner gives him back the change. He puts them into his wallet, and then stuffs the wallet back into his pocket, as if it's the most natural thing for him.

Helen takes a skewer of beef, takes a bite from it,"Mhm....so good" He says while having the food in his mouth.

Helen's holding the food in his hand as they head back. He eats while they walk.

It's already 1am; only the two of them are walking side by side on the pathway. The light is shining from behind, elongating their shadows.

The fragrance of flowers and grass surround them, but a strong smell of food is coming from Helen's handful of skewers.

It's very late at night nonetheless, so Prapai is a little hungry as well; the smell of food is distracting him. Therefore, he is lifting his eyes to look at Helen.

He's eating chicken right now.

Helen opens his mouth too wide as he bites down; he then presses her lips together, relishing the meat.

It's just that he eats rather fast despite his good manners. He quickly finishes a skewer of chicken and tosses the wooden skewer into the garbage. He sticks out his little tongue, licks his lips, reaches for another skewer of mushrooms, and starts eating again.

Prapai chuckles as he watches.

Helen has been too focused on eating and doesn't notice that Prapai has been staring at him this whole time until now. Helen turns to look at him with a mushroom stuffed in his mouth.
