Most of the officials in the room were very intrigued by the statement, surprised at how effective her fan was.
"Why is everyone surprised?" Shi Wudu asked, shutting his eyes as he fanned himself.
Pei Ming looked at him, smirking, "Why don't you spoil me like that, hm?"
Moments later, Pei Ming had a very prominent red imprint directly between his brows due to a familiar fan being thrown at him, which rendered him into a sulking state.
Having received the spell key Shi Qingxuan passed onto him, Xie Lian recited it in his mind and swept the fan. A whirlwind instantly blew up from the ground, whooshing and shaking the surrounding woods, and even a few small, weaker sprouts were pulled from their roots, a strength powerful to behold.
"Ah, what a shame we weren't told what the password was," Pei Ming sighed, trying to recover from his sulking state. "It would have been fun to use."
Pei Ming received a look from Qingxuan, causing him to subconsciously make one back, resulting in another hit from Wudu. He tried extremely hard to not hiss at Qingxuan, who snickered when Wudu hit him.
Unfortunately this wind was blown a little off course and didn't aim for the right target.
"It's alright," Qingxuan was quick to comfort Xie Lian, even if said man was not bothered at all. "It's hard to control spiritual devices that aren't yours."
'I know,' Xie Lian thought internally, but replying with a sweet "Thank you," smiling warmly at the Wind Master's kindness.
Spiritual devices weren't that easy to manipulate. He wasn't the master to the Wind Master fan after all, and naturally couldn't handle it as smoothly as Shi Qingxuan. The angle and amount of power were both difficult to control; it was either too strong or too weak, either off course or backwards.
"Is it possible for anyone else to handle it besides you?" Ban Yue asked curiously.
"It would be hard to do so but if it was someone like his Majesty then it's possible," Qing Xuan mused as helpfully as she could to quench Banyue's curiosity. "Or I think so, at least."
After realizing this, Xie Lian resolutely gave up and changed tactics, snapping the fan shut and used it as an attacking weapon directly instead as he madly struck at the weak points of the other. Then, with a WHISH, he generated a sheen of spiritual aura on the edge of the fan, and straight up turned it into a razor-sharp steel blade, slashing through the air, its shine chilling.
Qingxuan muffled a hysterical cry, her lips quivering as she stared at the screen with wide eyes, feeling her eyes get glossy- but she definitely was not going to ruin her makeup.
