*Benjamin's P.O.V*

It's been a few months since the mall encounter with my parents and defeating what I've come to realize was supposed to represent my monster of a father. Ever since that day I've felt more at ease than I have in years and pico has noticed. Every step of recovery I make was a welcome one especially now because I could enjoy it with pico who I've been dating officially for about four months now and it's been the best months I can remember where I'm not constantly being beaten, burned or yelled at.

After the mall incident me, Pico, Grace and her boyfriend Sven had figured it would be best if we moved where mine and grace's parents had minimal influence as it was clear they were very dangerous and I didn't put it past my own parents to hunt me and pico down just to kill us both for not being their perfect son and for pico being the one to make their personal punching bag rebel against them. Because of this fear Pico had managed to find a cheaper apartment that had cameras on sight as well as built in security systems so it had been the ideal choice for the both of us. For grace and Sven the two had managed to find a condo with two bedrooms as it also had a security system as neither wanted to take a risk.

It turns out Sven was surprisingly well off for himself despite being in high school and had been able to afford a nicer apartment then what me and pico could however he had revealed during one of our double dates that he had been working and saving up as soon as he was of hiring age and had been able to get successfully transferred to a different branch of his work place here where they lived now so he could afford the apartment him and grace had now. Hearing that Sven was willing to go to that extent for grace made both I and Pico glad that Grace had found someone who cared for her as much as Pico cared for me.

Knowing that grace was happy with Sven made me thankful he had found her when he did for both their sakes as I really didn't want to think about what could have happened if Grace had been left alone at the train station that fateful day. For I and Pico that day at the station where I battled my own mom on a literal moving vehicle had both left us with scars from the landing and a deep rooted fear of the possibility of being yanked off the streets and never to be seen again until one or both were killed. I'm not dense enough to think my parents are actually gone and I wouldn't be surprised if they were still out there somewhere despite their weird disappearance after that battle with that monster in the mall however, I didn't want to think about that right now as me and pico were currently on a date and going to the movies.

While pico had bought our tickets to see the movie I had been glancing around to ensure we didn't have any unwelcome company and in my search I could of sworn I had seen a small flare of cyan blue hair before it was lost in the crowd while the person was quickly followed by a girl with bright red hair and someone with orange hair heading in the opposite direction of where me and pico were. Who were those three and why do I feel like I've seen them before?

I didn't get to ponder on it long before I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder which had caused an instinctive response of freezing up before I realized it was pico trying to let me know that he had the tickets in hand and that we could get our food for the movie. With that being said I shook that feeling of odd recognition of the three I saw earlier and smiled at pico saying "ok toughie, let's grab our snacks and head in. I'm excited to see this movie!" Pico had smiled before nodding in agreement and we were off to grab our snacks before heading into the movie. In my mind I hoped everything would go smoothly and that nothing would happen to ruin our day.
