My Protector (fnf/softmod crossover)

Upon arrival to the hospital emergency staff were outside as Mommy Mearest had called ahead to give Benjamin the best chance and the staff carefully laid Benjamin on one of the beds that had been rolled out before they took him inside to get him to a operating room upon seeing just how badly Benjamin was hurt despite the stitches that had been applied prior to arrival. In the car Soft Pico was barely keeping his emotions from spilling over and it didn't help that he hadn't been allowed to follow Benjamin in the operating room to be by Benjamin's side as was normal procedure in this situation. After DD got parked in the guest emergency parking the remaining five in the car had gone in as well to start getting paperwork done.

Thankfully the staff recognized Pico the moment he walked in from when he had came in a while back which made the rest of the process go smoothly due to his past presence there for Benjamin and Grace. As Pico filled out the information he could on the paperwork the Dearest family and bf had found an area with minimal eyes on them as they were all a taller bunch and many had already started staring when the group came in. When Pico was done he too sat with the dearests and bf while they all waited for the status on Benjamin hoping he'd be okay.

/three hours later/

*Gf's P.O.V*

It has been three hours and we still hadn't been given any updates on Benjamin which was admittedly worrying me and causing his version of Pico to become increasingly stressed. Each time one of us would try to distract him even if it was just temporarily he would give a rather cold glare before he continued his pacing. It was only after the sound of a door opening that Pico stopped in his tracks as he looked up to see who had entered and we saw that it was the doctor assigned to Benjamin.

He had asked for Pico and my mom to go over to him before he could relay what he had to say though it seemed the news wasn't entirely good as Pico and my mom both nodded slowly before the doctor left again.

When my mom and Benjamin's Pico returned the two seemed worried before they had reported that Benjamin was now in stable condition however, he had to be brought back twice before his vitals started stabilizing and was now on a oxygen mask for the time being until he woke up. Hearing the explanation of Benjamin's current condition made all of us worried and my parents to excuse themselves stating they needed a moment before they both went outside. Bf and Ben's pico watched them leave before sharing a confused look between each other before Ben's pico finally sat down and now just looked exhausted. I really hope Benjamin has the strength and willpower to get through the night to live another day .
