xiv. ah, found you!

Start from the beginning

We used to live in the Furin neighbourhood but when Dad and Mom went through a divorce, Mom held custody of us and Dad eventually opened a cafe in the the Shihebun neighbourhood where people didn't know who we were, where people were living under a rock.

"She's hiding both of us." I grinned. "But come on, this isn't the worst thing, last summer, my brother and I jokingly started a cult...until it accidentally turned serious."

"What!?"

"Story for another time, dearie."

"I swear you two gonna end up in juvenile detention one day." Ryo said. The irony.

"There's an arcade opening near our area," I informed, sipping onto my tea.

My brother slammed his hand on the table, making us flinch as we gawked at him.

"Why do you tell me just now!?" He said. "We should all definitely go."

Taiga immediately tugged Ryo's sleeve. "Izumiya, Izumiya, come join us!"

"Eh? What the hell are you doing? I beat you up just a few days ago!"

Taiga laughed it off. "Come on now, the past is in the past. What's your favourite game to play?"

"Get off me, you're kinda creeping me out." He said, giving him a dirty look.

"Oh man, I just wanna be friends and stop fighting!" Taiga smiled, a purple bruise on his chin where Ryo had hit him yesterday.

Dad appeared out of the kitchen, holding a plastic shopping bag until he dropped it on our table. I spread the bag wide and was met with food containers.

"Those are chicken braised breast, tempura, okonomiyaki and some treats and a drink for dessert." Dad rambled. "All for Togame."

"Wait what?"

"Oh, [Name], we can't leave the boy just like that, we promised to take responsibility and care, and this is how we show our care."

"So, you want me to bring it to him?" I inquired.

He nodded. "Yep."

"But I don't know where he lives."

Since Taiga blessed me with the whole news of Furin and Shishitoren's 'gang, gang, gang' crap, I'm pretty sure Togame doesn't live in the Furin neighbourhood like we used to when we were younger.

"Eh? Don't you have his number?" Dad asked, scowling.

"Oh, sure I have!" I lied and chuckled, taking the bag while heading for the door.

If I told him I didn't have Togame's number, I'd face an hour-long lecture again. Sure, Dad was the 'cool one' but you don't want to see his serious side.

It's all because of that bastard who refused to give me his contact info. That being said, there's only one destination to go and I should be quick.

My hand trailed against the wall that separated the border as my step grew closer to the tunnel. Halfway, I stopped and took a deep breath. Last time, I was lucky. I was stupid, I'm aware. It was just Togame and five idiots I couldn't help but wonder how the hell were they able to get recruited. This time, I'm not sure if he would be there. I'm not sure how many members will be there but I knew they would give me a hard time.

I decided to woman up and peeked at the tunnel.

"I swear you guys are no fun!" A blue-haired boy, wearing a Shishitoren jacket was whining toward his other members.
