Arien and Arjen's POV-
Arien and Arjen walked to their next lesson with their servants in tow. Suddenly, someone appeared in front of them.
"Ishina?!"
The head maid ignored their shock.
"Your next lesson has been canceled. His majesty, the emperor, has requested your presence."
Soon, the twins were following Ishina as they made their way toward the emperor. They voiced their confusion telepathically, until they appeared in front of the emperor, who was calmly sipping tea.
'Please tell us before you come!'
The emperor looked toward the head maid.
"Ishina."
Ishina bowed in front of him.
"I have heard that their lessons are too excessive."
Ishina responded swiftly.
"I am trying to improve their skills-"
The emperor cut her off, his icy gaze becoming colder.
"Ishina. I will not repeat myself. You should know this."
"...I will correct myself."
Arien and Arjen just looked at her in amazement.
'To remain so calm even in the presence of the emperor...it's really impressive, Ishina.'
Ishina turned toward the twins.
"Imperial prince, imperial princess. Please have a seat."
Arien and Arjen turned to face the head maid, then did as told.
"Ah, yes."
"Thank you, Ishina."
Hearing this, the emperor slammed his cup on the table. This produced a loud noise, which caused Arien and Arjen to flinch and look at the emperor fearfully, wondering if they did anything wrong to anger the emperor.
"Just now..did I hear my child speaking formally to a head maid? What should I do about this?"
His voice was cold, and Ishina flinched at his bloodlust while the twins looked at her in confusion.
'Huh? We weren't supposed to speak formally to Ishina?'
Ishina seemed shaken, unlike her calm demeanor just minutes prior.
"My sincerest apologies, your majesty..."
The emperor looked at her coldly.
"What did I say, Ishina?"
"I shall treat them like other members of the imperial family."
'Like other members of the imperial family?'
The emperor put his cup down on the table sternly.
"Fix your behavior accordingly. There will be no second chance."
