Third person's POV:

Today's the day. That everyone has been waiting for. Mrs. Kang yeo bin went for an annulment and filed a case in the court. And with the help of Mr. Lee, they have found one of the best prosecutor for this case.

After getting the notice from the court, Mr. Kang tried to call Soojin and her mother but they didn't pick up. They have been staying in Suho's house for two weeks. Both of them feels like they are burden to Suho but he had already made sure that they can stay there anytime they want.

After knowing about Soojin's situation from Suho, both Jukyung and Sua had a private talk with her. Soojin was the one who requested Suho to tell them since there is no point in hiding it anymore.

Courtroom Scene:

Judge Park Min-jun:
(Bangs gavel)
"Court is now in session for the case of State vs. Kang Ryo-shi. Prosecutor Lee, you may present your opening statement."

Prosecutor Lee Ji-won:
"Thank you, Your Honor. Today, we present a case of prolonged and severe child abuse. Kang Ryo-shi, a respected doctor, stands accused of physically and emotionally abusing his daughter, Kang Soojin, for over a decade. Despite his public persona, the evidence and testimonies will show his true nature. The victim and her mother, Mrs. Kang Yeo-bin, have bravely come forward to seek justice."

Judge Park Min-jun:
Thank you, Prosecutor Lee. Attorney Kim, your opening statement."

Attorney Kim Soo-hyun:
"Your Honor, while the allegations against my client are grave, we must approach this case with caution. Dr. Kang has dedicated his life to helping others and has been an exemplary citizen. We will demonstrate that these allegations are based on misunderstandings and that my client is innocent of these charges."

Judge Park Min-jun:
"Very well. Prosecutor Lee, you may call your first witness."

Prosecutor Lee Ji-won:
"The prosecution calls Mrs. Kang Yeo-bin to the stand."

(Mrs. Kang Yeo-bin, approaches the witness stand and is sworn in.)

Prosecutor Lee Ji-won: "Mrs. Kang, can you please describe the nature of your relationship with Mr. Kang Ryo-shi and what led you to file this case?"

Mrs. Kang Yeo-bin: "Your Honor, I married Kang Ryo-shi believing him to be a kind and loving man. However, shortly after our daughter Soojin was born, he began showing his true colors. He was controlling and often became violent, particularly towards Soojin. The abuse started when she was just seven years old and continued for over a decade. I filed this case to protect my daughter and to seek justice for the pain she has endured."

Prosecutor Lee Ji-won: "Can you give specific instances of the abuse?"

Mrs. Kang Yeo-bin: "There were many. He would hit her for small mistakes, lock her in her room for hours without food, and constantly belittle her. Soojin lived in fear every day."

Prosecutor Lee Ji-won: "Thank you, Mrs. Kang. No further questions, Your Honor."

Judge Park Min-jun: "Attorney Kim, you may cross-examine the witness."
