You sighed weakly, thinking about what your dad wanted you to do. He called you, and it nearly broke you down into tears. The festival was coming up soon, and you had to battle your classmates, but you didn't want that. All you wanted was peace, which you were never going to get as long as you lived. You were about to put on makeup so you could send pictures to your future husband when you heard a knock on the door.
You went to open it and saw Shoto was at the door. You were only wearing a robe, which embarrassed you a bit, but lucky it was just Shoto, so he wasn't going to think much of it.
"Hey, what's up?" You asked.
"Hey. I just wanted to make sure you were okay. You weren't yourself at the beach," Shoto said.
"Here, come in," you said as your phone started going off, and saw it was your future husband.
You looked at Shoto and remembered the feeling you had when you took those men down. You needed to stand up for yourself, so you texted him no pictures, not now, not ever until we are married to both your father and then your husband. You then said you were going to bed and put your phone on airplane mode so they wouldn't call or text you.
"Sorry, I know what I did wasn't right, but I needed to take them down fast. I was worried about all of you. I didn't want you to get hurt like Kirishima did," you explained as Shoto sat on your bed.
"So you were protecting us?" He asked.
"Yes, I know you can take care of yourself, but," you paused.
"You probably saved everyone on that beach. I just wanted to make sure you were alright," he said as you looked at him a bit shocked.
"No one asks me that question," you said softly.
"No one?' He asked.
"Not everyone, just some people," you explained.
"You have been oddly attached to your phone. I noticed. Is there something going on in your family?" He asked.
"Oh, not really. My father is just protective of me. He doesn't like that I have male teachers or friends it's why I don't text you about anything other than schoolwork and why I hang out with all of you after my phone calls," you explained.
"He goes through your phone?" He asked.
"All the time, it's why I go home during the weekend. If my story doesn't match, then I could get into really big trouble. It's why I gave all you guys credit and why I asked all of you to leave out that I was there," you answered.
"You never told anyone else this," Shoto said.
"Well, I didn't want to make my dad out to be a control freak. I mean, he is, but I didn't want any of you to act differently because of it. I didn't want to be the weird one out," you sighed as you sat next to him.
"If you want, I can let everyone know so they won't text you anything they shouldn't. Just give me a list, and I'll tell them," he said.
"Shoto," you paused.
"I don't know what will happen if you got into trouble, but I'm guessing you would get pulled from school," he said.
"Thank you. I probably would. I can tell them all myself. Thank you really for worrying about me," you said as you hugged him close to you.
His face turned red once he smelled your perfume. It smelled really good, and his face turned red as he hugged you. He didn't want this to end, but it had to. You let go of him, and you smiled at him. For the first time, you wanted to kiss a guy, which made you a bit embarrassed, so you looked away. You looked at your phone, and the reality hit you like a tidal wave. You had to protect them at all costs. You had to if you didn't, then you shouldn't be called a hero at all.
