You started working on your ship, and with Mirio's help and some other people who made suits for a living, you managed to finish your spacecraft. You still needed to build the wormhole, which would take longer than the ship you built, but at least it was there. You were hoping that maybe somehow they had one, but of course, you weren't that lucky.
"Hey, Y/n! Do you want to go out to eat today?" Mirio asked as you smiled.
"Sure, anyone joining us?" You asked as he came in to look at the ship.
"No, just us. You finished it, huh?" He asked.
"Yeah, we did; now we just got to make a wormhole. I was going to add it to the ship, but that's too dangerous and nearly impossible. The calculations alone are crazy," you said as Mirio smiled slightly.
"Well, at least you can stay a little bit longer," he said as he noticed you added things to your spaceship.
"Going to war?" He asked, seeing a large automatic armor-piercing gun and a smaller spacecraft on the bottom.
"No, I was thinking about the shark tooth-looking thing again," you said as he chuckled.
"You worry too much, you know that?" He asked as you smiled.
"Can't help it. I'm used to being picked on; where do you want to go? I'll buy it. They finally gave me a job here to work on suits for them," you said as he looked around your ship.
"You aren't upset, are you? I have to leave soon, are you?" You asked.
"Yeah, but it's okay. I know you have to leave. I just like being friends with you. Maybe you could come and visit sometime," he said as you sighed.
"I wish it were just that easy," you said as you wrapped an arm around him, "come on, let's go get something to eat. I can show off my pen sword and my twin pen knives."
"You made those things?" Mirio asked as you smiled.
"Heck yeah, I did," you smiled as you walked out of the cave you were working out of that wasn't that from the school and went to town with him.
"I know this sounds weird, but do you have any strange markings on your hands? Here, we get them because here we have soul mates," he said as you looked at him oddly.
"I am just hearing about this now because?" You asked.
"I didn't want you to feel the need to stay. I just wanted to see if you had one. You are from a different planet, so it might not be on you now that I think about it," Mirio said as you looked at his hands.
"You don't have one," you said as he smiled slightly.
"I do. I just have been covering it up with makeup because I didn't want you to ask questions about it, honestly," Mirio said.
"Is this a joke or something? Did you figure out that I'm gay?" You asked.
"It's not a joke, and I had no idea you were gay," he said as he rubbed the makeup up, revealing a fox print with a small rose in the most significant part of the fox print.
"That's cool; I can't believe I told you I was gay. I'm sorry; I didn't want to make things weird. It's why I didn't have a lot of friends at work because they were afraid to be hit on," you explained as he looked at you, shocked.
"Seriously?" He asked.
"Yeah, it's not like here. It's 2007, and it's 2024 here; being gay isn't acceptable yet on my planet," you explained.
"That's crazy. That is a huge difference, so technically speaking, I'm with a very odd man right now," he laughed as you chuckled.
"I guess so. I would be pushing forty right now. Thirty-five years old is how old I would be if I aged when I time traveled," you laughed.
