These are very simple words. But reciting them more carefully seems to bring a mix of warmth and sourness to them.

With Rain and Saifah around, it’s never quiet at the table. The two go back and forth while Helen adds his input every now and then, and even Prapai laughs out loud a few times. The atmosphere at the table is getting better and better.

“Oh, Helen!” Saifah taps his plate with his chopsticks, “The legendary Criminal psychologist Nong Sky. I need to represent all the girls of the police force to ask you this question. Do you have a girlfriend or boyfriend? Is that well-known and talented forensic investigator your man?”

Helen smiles, picks up one of his chopsticks and also taps his plate with it a few times, “Of course not. I am enjoying my single life——I’m not as desperate as you!”

His witty reply causes everyone to look and laugh at Saifah. Payu even reaches out his hand and gives Saifah a pat on the back to console him. Saifah says feeling annoyed, “Even you are laughing at me?! I won’t tolerate this! Waiter, give me some Leo beer! The expensive one! The 150 Baht bottle is not good enough for me!” He then stretches out his head and looks at Prapai full of smiles, “Leader, is it okay to have a few drinks? Since you’re driving, you shouldn’t drink any. We’re just going to drink a little bit to relax ourselves.”

“Mm,” Prapai takes a sip of his juice and then lifts his eyes to look at Helen.

Helen’s eyes meet with his; he quickly looks away.

Drinks comes and Saifah and Payu both cheers and drank a whole glass in one go.

“I'm telling you in advance if you are both drunk it will be too heavy for me to carry”Rain says and turns his head,”Phi Helen Don't you stop then What situation are we in now and we are drinking?”He says totally annoyed.

“Stop? Why should I?”Helen says in a causal tone while cooking his meat in the pot,”if they are drunk they can sleep here not a big deal”He points at the food with his chopsticks,”but you need to finish the food also because It's no good drinking without any food”he says to saifah and payu.

Saifah takes one glass and puts it in front of Prapai. He says in full of seriously, “Leader, we’re going to play a game, and you have to participate since you’re our leader. But if you lose, you can appoint someone else at the table to drink on your behalf, okay?”

Rain immediately complains, “Saifah, you sure are a suck-up!”

Saifah retorts, “So what? You want to bite me?”

Just as Helen thought that Prapai would disagree, he sees him pick up the bottle of beer, opens the cap with his mouth without much effort, and then places it down in front of Saifah. He then leans back in his chair and says, “Okay, you can drink on my behalf. Let’s start.”

Saifah is stunned, while the others laugh out loud, “……hahaha!”

Perhaps Saifah has been hurt deeply by the Leader; his questions are all very sharp and hard to answer.

“The same question as Nong sky’s. Do you guys have a girl or boyfriend? Rain, you go first.”

Rain answers, “I……have never had one. There are so few female officers at the station, and Leader (Helen) is not my type.”

Helen pinches his waist without any hesitation. Rain lets out an “ow” and jumps up from his seat. Everyone laughs. Saifah pulls a glass of beer and puts it in front of him, “Drink up.”

Rain asks with a puzzled look, “Why do I have to drink for not having a girlfriend? I thought I only have to answer the question……” Before he could finish, Saifah has already poured the beer into his mouth, forcing him to gulp it down.
