Chp 25

Minjeong looked at him in shock. This was something Beomgyu hadn’t planned on sharing with anyone except Soobin, especially not with Taehyun. He didn’t want to add to the guilt they were already feeling. Some things were better left unsaid.

“Let’s go, Beom.” Soobin sternly said as he guided Beomgyu to his feet. They were at the door of the room when they heard Minjeong speak again.

"I'm sorry..." she murmured, her head bowed as she continued to cry.

Soobin pulled Beomgyu out, and he also spoke with their lawyer, who was a friend of Dongmin, regarding to the doctor's case. They then left the precinct.

"Are you okay, Beom?" Soobin concernedly inquired.

Beomgyu turned to him and forced a weak smile. He held Soobin's hand. "I'm okay, Hyung... Thank you. C-Can we go back to your condo? I want to hug my kids."

Soobin smiled, hugging him.
"Yes, let's go back."

Beomgyu found Taehyun sitting on the bed when they arrived at the hospital. His cast was off, and he was watching TV seriously when he walked in. Taehyun's face lit up with a wide smile upon seeing him. He turned off the TV with the remote, and Beomgyu placed the basket of fruits he brought on the bedside table.

"I thought you weren’t coming back... I was so worried. I almost tried to sneak out of here, did you know that?" Taehyun said softly as he pulled the older down to sit beside him on the bed, kissing and hugging him tightly. "Teddy bear~"

Beomgyu chuckled at his cuteness. "It’s only been two days, I was just taking care of a few things. Sorry about that." he squished Taehyun's puffy cheeks.

Beomgyu had waited for their twins to adjust to the time zone in South Korea, especially Jungwon, who would throw tantrums if he disturbed or if he didn’t get enough sleep.

Laughing, Beomgyu scolded the younger lightly for peppering his face with kisses. "Wait, I have people with me, the ones I said I would introduce to you. Just a moment."

Beomgyu got up from the bed and walked to the door. He let in his brother Soobin, who was carrying the twins. Taehyun's eyebrows met as he looked at them.

"W-Who are they, butterfly?" he asked nervously.

"I'm Beomgyu's husband, and these kids are our children." Soobin said with a confident grin.

Taehyun turned pale at his revelation.

"Soobin-hyung!" Beomgyu quickly scolded his brother.

He shook his head, realizing how much Soobin loved to tease, no matter what the situation is. Turning back to Taehyun, who was starting to tear up.

"He’s just joking, Hyunie! Soobin-hyung is my half-brother and was one of the people who helped us when we were abroad. It’s a long story, but I’ll explain everything to you later."

Soobin tried his best to hold his laugh watching the drama.

"Dada?" The twins said in unison, they looked at Taehyun with curiosity. Blinking their doe eyes.

"B-Beomgyu, don’t tell me..."

Beomgyu nodded at the younger. "Yes, Hyun, they are your children. You got me pregnant before we separated and before I left the country..."

"Oh God, c-can I hug them, butterfly?" Taehyun asked with tears in his eyes.

Soobin wholeheartedly smiled and gently placed the twins next to Taehyun, who embraced them and covered them with kisses.
