"How could two students overblot in my absence?!" The Headmage wailed.

Trein looked especially troubled, "Mr. Ashengrotto, are you completely certain Ms. Darcy overblotted?"

"Yes, sir," Azul said. "We believe it's because she's someone who can't use magic but was exposed to too much magic in extreme conditions. It shouldn't happen again."

"The incident will still need to be reported. Ms. Darcy, how do you feel about the situation?" Trein asked.

"I don't have many memories of the incident, sir."

"Overall, Ophelia probably remembers 10 to 15 days of the winter holiday. Exposure to signature spells gives her headaches and, if pressed enough, can make her completely forget things by the time she recovers," Azul explained.

"I see," Trein said as he studied the girl. "I don't believe she'll need to go through the usual steps. In fact, the medicine may be harmful to her. You'll need to take special care to not be in the way of magic."

"Yes, sir."

The Headmage looked especially disgruntled. He was grumbling under his breath about contacting someone again. She left with Azul, leaving Jamil and Kalim to deal with whatever they needed to go through.

"That could have been worse," Azul said.

"Who does he report the overblot incidences to?"

"Bureau of Magic. They keep it all on record."

She frowned, "You think they're gonna start getting worried that there have been five overblots in five months?"

"While I must admit that does sound like a lot, we are a school for mages. It can't be that uncommon for young mages to overexert themselves."

"...Yeah, maybe..."

Class after class went by. When Ophelia got to flight class, she took her Octavinelle scarf and wrapped it around her neck, lifting it up to cover her nose. It was hard for Grim to focus on flying while it was so cold, which is how Ophelia ended up in the infirmary after falling off the broom into a pile of snow.

She wasn't hurt, but it was a precaution after everything she had been through. When she got to the cafeteria, she joined up with her friends.

"What'd the Headmage want?" Grim asked.

"It was about what to do with my overblotting. Trein said it could be dangerous for me to get the standard treatment, but I'm going to be on the sidelines of the classes that use magic for a while."

Grim's ears flattened, "You mean, he wasn't worried that you overblotted to begin with?"

"Wait, what?" Ace asked as he sat down. "Someone overblotted on winter break?"

"Really? Who was it?" Deuce asked.

Before she could answer, she felt someone behind her. She looked up at Leona and smiled, "Hey, Leona."

"You're comin' with me. Now," Leona told her.

"Um, alright," she agreed as she stood and followed him.

They walked all the way to Savanaclaw, to his dorm where he shut the door. "Let me see your arm."

She shrugged off her blazer and rolled up her sleeve. He gingerly held her arm, moving his finger over the wound, "When this heals, we're goin' to Sunset City."

"Why?" She asked as she rolled down her sleeve.

"There's a tattoo artist that specializes in spells. She can give you a barrier spell and make it look like whatever you want. From what I've heard today, you're gonna need it."
