He was facing me, but his friends were kind of blocking my way to him, so I tapped them on the shoulder and said, "Excuse me". They looked at me and turned to the side so I could pass through and get to him. I saw him gulp and look down as if he was shy. I shouted so he could hear me and said, "Can I buy you a drink"? He glanced up and said, "No thanks I already have one" and lifted his hand and smiled "Plus my rides here they just texted me so maybe next time"? He then turned and walked off leaving me standing there. I stood there stunned no one had ever turned me down in my 10 years of coming to this club! I turned back to see if my cousins had seen, and they were both laughing hysterically at me I rolled my eyes and headed back to them. When I got there, they said "We like him already" I rolled my eyes and started scanning the room again. I saw one of the regulars I hadn't been with yet and headed to the bar I whispered, "What's your plans after here and winked". The guy smiled and said, "Hopefully home with you". I got a grin across my face and said, "Let's head out". On the way out I heard a familiar voice when walking out the door, I glanced over and there stood the young man that had caught my attention again. he had lied to me he hadn't even left the bar just went outside with his friends. I don't know why, but this bothered me. Did he not think I was good enough for him? My one-night stand asked if everything was ok, and I said "Yeah just thought I saw someone I knew let's go".
