The day I finally learned to love

We were 6months into the pregnancy we had moved Lilly in to the guest house at Max's request after we had talked he understood that taking care of Lilly meant our babies were getting taken care of so we took turns at midnight runs for cravings and while I worked he stayed home and helped Lilly they actually became close. I was leaving work early today to meet them at the OBGYN we had an anatomy scan of the babies today to make sure everything looked good we were also getting to find out the paternity test to see what semen took as max really wanted to know. We were also finding out the sex of the twins but me and max would step out and she would tell Lilly as she wanted to throw us a gender reveal party. Max was right our baby was perfect in every way she continued on with the scan everything looked healthy heart, lungs, limbs. She continued on with the scan and said everything else looks great Baby A is a little smaller than baby B but that's normal with twins. She then said ok boys one more time close your eyes about a minute later she said ok all done boys. We opened our eyes Max looked like a ghost he was pale and I could see the tears starting to form in his eyes. I said let's step outside babe while they do the blood stick for paternity we stepped out and he broke down he said what's wrong with our baby what if baby A don't make it what if Baby A is in pain I hugged him and said everything is ok babe our baby is strong and it's sibling is taking care of it until he entered the world and we do. As I hugged him I prayed to god that the paternity of Baby A wasn't Max's because if so he would think he did something wrong. The nurse stepped out and said ok boys if you want to wait in there I'll be back in about 10 minutes with the results we stepped in and Lilly looked at max and said max this isn't something anyone could avoid these things happen. I'm gonna make sure Baby A makes it to this world I promise you. He started to cry again within 15 minutes the nurse came in and said the results are back to you want to read them here or I can put them in a envelope and you boys can do this at home in privacy I said we should do this at home thank you. She put the paternity results in a envelope and handed them to us and then the gender reveals and handed those to Lilly we dropped Lilly off at her brothers so we could have privacy tonight when we opened the results then we headed home once home I made us dinner and we sat and ate quietly I then said how about you go shower and I'll clean up down here then after I shower we can open the results he nodded and started upstairs then turned around and kissed me he said Pa I love you I smiled and said I love you more we finally finished everything and we were sitting in front of the fireplace with the envelope in hand. He said Pa you read them and tell me ok. I said ok I took a deep breath and started to open the envelope at the top of the first page it said Baby B I said ok they have Baby B on top it says babyB is weighing in at 2lbs and is 11inches long. And let's check the weight and length for baby A before we go down further so Baby A is 1 pound 5 ozs and is 8 inches long alright back to baby B it says that Baby B is Mr Pooh Krittins biological child max smiled so big he said I knew it was the baby looked just like you on the screen. I heard sniffling I looked at mad and he looked at me and said I'm sorry I said for what babe we have two relatively healthy babies what to be sorry about. I didn't know what would be worse if both turned out mine or if the Baby A was his he'd think he did something wrong. I said max are you ready he nodded not looking at me. I said when it comes to Baby A is Max Thepnakorn biological child I read it to myself max said Pa what's it say I said Baby A is yours we both contributed to our twins. I went to hug him and he jumped up and started crying he said I failed us all of us I made a defective baby I'm sorry I mess everything up he took off down the hallway and locked himself in the room. I heard him sobbing I said max open the door babe he screamed leave me alone. I said if you don't open the door I'm gonna break it down 1-2-3 and the door cracked open I walked in he was against the wall knees balled up to his chest balling I sat down and put my head against the wall. I said max you're gonna be a momma I'm gonna be a daddy we should be so happy. That night in bed I could hear max crying while he thought I was asleep and he whispered please let our babies be ok let them both be healthy I don't want Pooh to be disappointed in me for messing up our family. My heart ached as I laid there and listened I glanced at the clock it was 2am I rolled over and rubbed his back and said babe are you gonna sleep we have a big day tomorrow he said I can't I'm to anxious. We got to the house 5-10 minutes late when we got to the door PAlan answered and said why are you late we looked at each other then back at him he said I don't want to know we both laughed and went inside we had all our family and friends there Lilly did a beautiful job decorating the house and yard everything was pink and blue she said do you guys want to reveal first then eat or other way around. We said we can't wait any longer let's reveal first we and outside we had confetti poppers I took baby A and Max had baby B I went first we did the count down and at 1 I popped a stream of Pink confetti came out I said OMG I'm gonna be a girl dad i said momma your gonna have a little girl I hope she looks just like you  tears started flowing I said ok ok let's see baby B I saw Max close his eyes he was anxious I walked up and kissed his cheek I said what's wrong Babe he said I wanted you to have a boy I smiled and said I'm over the moon with whatever we have let's find out what baby B is we counted down and at 1 he shot it out came a blue stream of confetti Max fell to his knees and started crying I went and hugged him so tight he said our family is complete a son and a daughter max kissed me he opened his mouth wanting it to be deeper I deepened the kiss with him all our friends said this is a family friendly party cut it out we stood up and everyone hugged us we went and hugged Lilly she said I'm so happy for you guys let's eat. Me and max stayed back a minute once by ourselves we celebrated a little with some kissing then I whispered we have so much to do names, clothes, nursery themes I can't wait to start planning with you. Max smiled and said I love you thank you for such a great life you've giving me. I smiled and said I'm the lucky one.
