I woke up believing that finally today was going to be a normal day. I stood up from my bed, brushed my teeth, took my bath, washed my hair, put on my comfy hoodie and gray joggers and lay back on my bed.
I picked up my phone, I wanted to call up Ava but I didn't want to get reminded about the fact that I probably wouldn't see her again so I opened tiktok and scrolled through videos trying to my best to distract myself from the lingering memories of My new Former school.
I was so lost in tiktok that I didn't hear the sound of my room door open. As I started getting lost in the virtual world, my mom's voice cut through the silence, "You know I heard something about your new school today..." My gaze shifted to my mother, who was standing in the doorway with a hint of a smile on her face.
She continued, "Apparently, they're having some kind of activity today, something about downloading their online school work for the new semester. I thought it would be a good idea for you to know, keep yourself occupied and all that.
I was really excited but more surprised about what my mom said. I didn't think she would suggest that, I knew about the event but I didn't mention it to her because I didn't want to be told off. I also knew that today was my school's grade 12 prom and I thought it'd be fun to see the grade 12 students drift into the parking lot of my school, walk out from the drivers seat, open the door for their date and walk the red carpet or let their (chauffeur) drive them in, open the door for the guy and he'll open the door for his date and they walk the red carpet together.
I got to school a few hours later, took a deep breath of the school knowing it may be my last time to do so. I walked past the school gate into an assigned class and saw Evelyn, I walked up to her and gave her a big hug, I felt a bit claustrophobic so I decided to walk out of the class room for a while and saw I saw him, Luke, the baller of my set (so he calls himself)
He was tall, he had very soft and curly hair, and he was a no go area for me because he is Ava's Ex, and we made a pact never to date each other's left overs so I decided to walk away so he wouldn't notice me drooling.I walked back into the stuffy classroom which had over 60 people in it including a teacher who had been shouting at the top of her lungs ever since I walked in earlier. I wanted to download the online holiday assignment quickly so I would get to watch the prom red carpet. Suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder, I slowly turned around to avoid smacking who ever was behind me with my long black hair.
