[Reading back, I am starting to see Logan and Steve slowly go from friends to brothers. Yeah, I ain't against that brotherly bond ngl and another thing, votes have been soaring lately so definitely keep those up bro]

One whole week had gone by faster than expected and Colonel Phillips was still trying to understand why Dr. Erskine was choosing someone like Steve Rogers to be the first super soldier

Colonel Phillips:You're not really think of picking Rogers are you?

The doctor had made his choice the second he enlisted Steve into the army; it was the right one to make he wasn't planning on changing his mind at all

Dr. Erskine:I'm more than just thinking about it, he is the clear choice

Both men of great knowledge and command walk side by side as we see Peggy ordering the soldiers to pick up the pace on those jumping jacks

Colonel Phillips:When you brought a 90 pound onto my army base I let it slide and thought 'What the hell'. Maybe he'd be useful to you, like a gerbil. Never thought you'd pick him..

They both stop walking and see Logan still going without even a sweat to be seen alas Steve on the other hand could barely keep up with the jumping jacks as you could clearly see that he was exhausted

Colonel Phillips:You stick a needle through him it'll go straight through. Look at that. He's making me cry

Phillips said that last part as a somewhat joke having actually felt a smidge of sympathy for Steve's efforts as Dr. Erskine points out his reason

Dr. Erskine:I am looking for qualities beyond the physical

The doctor wanted someone who wasn't overly confident in themselves and knew humility deep down wasn't a weakness to have; Phillips stepped closer and reminded the doctor of his efforts

Colonel Phillips:Do you know how long it took to set up this project? All that groveling I had to do in front of Senator what-his-name's committee?

The amount of time and money that was sunk into this project was enough to supply the entire army for years and years to come  but instead was put elsewhere

Dr. Erskine:Brandt. Yes, I know. I am well aware of your efforts

The two men set their sights onto Logan who can be seen telling Steve to keep going and not wuss out on him; while Logan kept going strong with the others soldiers out of it

Colonel Phillips:Then throw me a bone, Logan's past every test we gave him. He's big, he's fast. He could slice up everyone here and you saw Hodge in the infirmary. That man is still recovering after that beating Logan gave him..

Hodge had been found outside laying on the ground with a broken hand and left leg not mention all of bruises spread across his face; apparently Hodge didn't take Logan's threat to heart so when he tried to fuck around, the man found out that Logan didn't make threats he made promises

Dr. Erskine:Yes, Hodge will recover soon enough. But still Logan has already accepted the offer that I gave him. He wouldn't let Mr Rogers waste this chance, that is the kind of man he is

Colonel Phillips:You don't win wars with niceness, Doctor. You win them with guts

Phillips says while reaching into one of the crates and grabbed a grenade as he pulled the win and threw it at the feet of the soldiers and yelled out; they all instinctively ran to cover but Steve sprint straight towards it and put his body on the line to shield everyone
