I Am The Wolverine [MCU]

[I was kinda tired when writing this so sorry if it ain't the best one]

Logan had moved up his rank significantly but if he was being completely honest, he didn't really care about it. The rank meant little to nothing to him so much so that he threw out his assigned uniform and sticked to wearing regular clothes; all he wanted was a decent leather jacket and it was given to him by one of the soldiers that was saved during the escape

Of course, he was grateful for such a gift nonetheless Logan could see that there was something already going on between Steve and Peggy; it was pretty obvious given the small glances he caught them giving one another and all of those late night talks that Logan may or may not have occasionally heard when he was passing by. Logan had actually met and got to talk to Bucky and they got along well with each other as they shared a couple of things in common

But now Logan was walking alongside Peggy, they had been waiting for Steve to get here but of course the super soldier was already late; Peggy looked genuinely concerned about Steve's current whereabouts as she paced back and forth

"Relax. He'll be on his way soon, pacing around ain't do nothing"

Peggy shot Logan a glare to which he smiled at, he wasn't so easily intimidated so a glare from her didn't really mean much to him as Logan sniffed the air and picked up on Steve's scent and something..else

"He's here. Probably waiting for us with the reception--"

Logan stopped talking as he remembered this part and where it led as he bolted to try and stop from whatever was about to happen; Logan ran as fast as he possibly could but he was too late as he saw Steve kissing Lorraine and yelled out to get his attention

"Rogers!"

They both stopped what they were doing and immediately pulled away from each other as Steve adjusted his tie; perhaps this was still salvageable if Peggy hadn't gotten here yet but of course it was too late as she had followed Logan and saw see the lipstick on Steve's face

Peggy:We're ready for you, if you're not otherwise occupied

Logan sighed as Steve walked past him and caught up with Peggy trying to save this from turning out to be even worse; Peggy without even looking back at Steve made a rather envious comment

Peggy:Looks like finding a partner wasn't so hard after all

She recalled what Steve had said about finding the right person and how there were was probably someone out there waiting for that right partner nonetheless Steve tried to explain to Peggy that it isn't what he thought it wa, Peggy only walked a bit faster and replied back

Peggy:I don't think anything, Captain. Not one thing, you always wanted to be a soldier and now you are. Just like all the rest

Logan who had caught up with the two actually tried to intervene but alas his words were moot to them both seeing how they were still stuck arguing amongst each other

Steve:Well, what about you and Stark? How do I know you two haven't been fondue-ing?

Peggy stopped walking and turned back to Steve and looked at him in disbelief; all this time he thought Howard and Peggy had something going on but he couldn't see just how wrong he was

Peggy:You still don't know a bloody thing about women..

Logan sighed and put his hand on Steve's shoulder and explained to the super soldier

"Rogers. Fondue is just mainly bread and cheese, there ain't nothing involving romance. Also why didn't you just pull away from her? You have the strength to do so.."

Steve's eyes widen realizing how badly he messed up and how Logan was actually right; the super soldier could have just pulled away but instead was wrapped up within the moment of his first ever kiss, Logan pats Steve on the shoulder and gestures for the super soldier knowing that Howard has something to show them

Logan had taken Steve to look at some new body armor for protection as we see Howard, Logan and Steve all browse around the lab with a bunch of scientists all hard at work

Howard:Carbon polymer. Should withstand your average german bayonet although HYDRA isn't going to attack you with a pocket knife

Steve says knowing how useful it was on not only protecting him but it also being used as an effective weapon; Howard leads them both to an array of modified shields each having its own twist to as Howard points one out for Steve

Howard:I took the liberty of coming up with some options. This one is fun, she's been fitted with electrical relays that allows you to...

Out of the corner of Logan's sight, he spotted something rather familiar and knelt down to pick it up the round shield with a strap behind it for him to hold; it was actually very light as the mutant held it out for Steve to test out on his own yet could already see this was the one for the super soldier

Howard:It's stronger than steel and a third the weight, its completely vibration absorbent. It's the rarest metal on Earth, what you're holding there is all we got left

If only they knew the truth about how much more there was in Wakanda but alas Logan couldn't go their on foot given how technologically advanced they were right now

Howard:Though it wouldn't kill to have some adamantium around unfortunately it was all given to our furball over here

Logan sticks out his middle claw basically flipping Howard off; Steve holds back a smile seeing how Logan dealt with Howard, the sound of approaching footsteps could be heard as Peggy walks in

Peggy:You quite finished, Mr Stark? I'm sure the Captain has some unfinished business

She say referring to catching Steve kissing Lorraine, Logan glanced at Steve gesturing for the super soldier to try and fix it alas he was under the wrong impression

Steve:What do you think?

Steve says while holding up the vibranium shield as Peggy grabs a nearby pistol from the assortment of guns, she aims and shoots at it several times as Steve blocks them all causing the dented bullets to all fall to the ground

Peggy:Yes, I think it works

She sets the pistol back down and walks away leaving everyone in disbelief although shoots Logan a faint smile, he hums at her boldness and turns back to Steve and Howard who are still jaw dropped by the woman that is Peggy Carter

Steve:I had some ideas about the uniform..

The super soldier says handing Howard a folded paper with a new design in mind for what he was going to be wearing when kicking HYDRA's ass out there

Howard:Whatever you want pal..

Howard said taking it and without looking away from where Peggy was standing; that did give Logan a good idea on how he wanted his first suit to be and knew exactly which one he was going to be pick, it was one of his utmost favorites aswell hopefully Stan Lee approved of the suit
