"It scared us just thinking about it" Debbie spoke, her tone laced with worry and fear. Debbie sat inbetween her two roomates, who both looked as equally scared. The Warren's sat opposite them. "When you hear it, you're gonna think we're insane."
Eloise rolled her eyes. She's heard many horror stories, this one can't be much worse than ones she's heard before, can it?
"Try us. Please. Start from the beginning." Ed tells them to tell the story and clicked the recorder button to start the recording.
"It started out small, like a hand or a leg was in a different position. Then it's head was looking up instead of down. And then one day, it was in a completely different room. It was moving around by itself."
Eloise sighed. Another typical doll possession story. She thought to herself. Eloise looked at the doll. The doll was sat on a chair, motionless. Eloise kept her eyes on the doll as the conversation went on, the voices zoning out as she made intense eyecontact with the creepy doll. Everything around her started to fade away, and suddenly her parents and the people disappeared, leaving Eloise alone in the room with the doll.Eloise furrowed her eyebrows. She knew that whatever was possessing the doll, wanted to show her something.
The only sound that could be heard, was Eloise's heavy breathing as she walked around the now empty apartment. She looked down at her hands, and noticed her hands weren't her own hands, yet another female's hands.
Without her own intention, she headed towards the apartment door, and bent down, seeing a note on the floor. "Miss me?" The note read. Eloise tilted her head. She could sense another presence standing beside her, she presumed another female but she couldn't see her face. The doll sat at the end of the hallway, leaning against the wall, holding red chalk that was also used on the note, the hall was dimly lit. Eloise opened the door, revealing a room that was covered in red drawings scattered across the wall. It hit her that the doll had drawn them on the wall. Everything in the room was ruined. Picture frames, curtains, everything. The red chalk that was used to draw on the walls, dropped out of the dolls hand and rolled onto the floor towards the girls. Elosie turned around and picked up the doll, running out and dumping the doll in a trash can outside, slamming the lid shut. Eloise could hear someone yelling Debbie's name...
Eloise let out a gasp when she was suddenly teleported into a bed. She was wearing a night gown, one in which she didn't own. Her body wasn't her own body. She was in someone else's. She was pressuming it was Debbie's she was in. There was a loud banging coming from a door. Which was strange considering it was the middle of the night.
Eloise opened the bedroom door that led into the hallway, the banging coming from the entrance door to the apartment. A girl turned on the light and both girls walked hesitantly towards the apartment door as the banging had stopped. Eloise looked around and saw nothing but then looked down and saw the same note from the doll yesterday had drawn. "Missed me?"
Suddenly the door banged from back down the hall, giving both the girls a fright. The other girl opened the door hesitantly, revealing the doll sitting on the floor in the spare room...
Ed and Lorraine notice the sudden silence from their eldest daughter. Eloise had been staring blankly at the doll for the last few minutes. Lorraine nudges Eloise, making Eloise snap out of the dream trance. Eloise flinched a little and her eyes blinked rapidly for a moment as she came back to the present.
"We are beyond terrified. We don't know what's going on or what to do. Can you help us?" Debbie spoke, a slight quiver in her voice laced with desperation. Eloise felt a bit lost in the conversation. She had clearly missed half of what was spoken about as she was in the past.
Ed leans foward. "Yes, we can. Now, firstly, there's no such thing as Annabelle, and there never was."
"Ghosts don't possess such a power. I think what we have here is something extremely manipulative. It's something inhuman." Lorraine explained.
"It was a big mistake acknowledging this doll. And through that, the inhuman spirit tricked you. You gave it permission to infest your lives." Ed stated. "What's an inhuman spirit?" The blonde questions. "Its something that's never walked the earth in human form." Ed described. "Its something demonic." Eloise interrupts her father, piping up into the conversation.
"So the doll was never possessed?" Debbie inquired. "No, no, it was used as a conduit. It was moved around to give the impression of possession. Demonic spirits don't possess things, they possess people." Lorraine informs.
"It wanted to get inside of you..."
