?7.Behind The Enemy Lines?

Logan was seriously taken back by this, out of the things that he did except it wasn't Victor Creed and the thing is; he wasn't even supposed to be here so that raised the question for Logan. Was this his fault? Was his mere existence bringing mutants into this universe earlier than intended too?

Either way, Logan didn't have time to mess around right now as he popped his claws as Victor chuckled and called them shiny; out of the corner of Logan's sight he could see Steve wanting to jump in and help but Logan shook his head 'no' letting the super soldier know he had this under control

Victor:Tell me something, Logan. Do you even know how to kill me?

Logan clenched his jaw and glared at Victor as his past memories began to tell him their history but Logan could careless if this prick was his half-brother as he replied back

"I'm gonna cut your fucking head off, let's see if that works"

Both start to head towards each other and start to pick up the pace as they both run at each other, Logan with his claws and Victor goes for a more animalistic run using his hands and legs to move faster; Logan ducks underneath Victor's sharp nails at the last second and trips him as Logan front flips himself back up

Both mutants get into it as Logan blocks a left jab from Victor and retaliates by burying the adamantium claws into Victor's chest before forcefully lifting him into the air and throwing Victor through the brick wall behind them; Victor is sent flying back as he groans from the throw and gets up again, Victor manages to land a slash across Logan's face making him barely flinch

Victor watches the slash he gave to Logan immediately heal back like it was never even there to begin with; alas that doesn't stop Victor from continuing his attacks as Victor pounces on Logan and bites into shoulder as Logan screams out in pain having felt the teeth sink into his skin, Logan grabs Victor and headbutts him to throw the man off

Logan grabs Victor and retracts his claws as he lands some very swift yet brutal punches all over Victor's body at superhuman speed; Logan had worked on more than just his new abilities but his fighting style aswell

Victor does his absolute best to try and block the incoming hits but Logan was too fast for him to keep up with; Logan reels back his fist and lands one more hit as the sheet force of the punch goes straight through Victor as Logan raises his half-brother into the air as Victor is seen bleeding profusely all over

Victor:We're brothers once..

The fight had been dragged out long enough as Logan could hear the captured soldiers all cheering showing that they won and Steve had probably gotten Bucky out safe and sound as Logan said back to Victor

"Once.."

Logan musters every ounce of his newfound strength and rips Victor in half as his blood and guts spill out all over the ground; Logan raises his foot into the air and stomps Victor's head and crushes it as we see pieces of the man's brain scattered everywhere, Logan felt something in his pocket as he reached in and pulled out a piece of paper and read it out

"Thought I'd give a warmup, champ. Looking forward to what you do next. From yours truly, Stan Lee"

Logan crumpled up the piece of paper and sighed, if this was just a damn warmup then Logan didn't want to know what an actual challenge was for him as he could hear explosions going off; he took that as his queue to get the hell out of there and regroup with the others

The journey back to camp was long, days and days of walking along with some of HYDRA's weapons and tanks that had been taken during the escape; the sound of cheering brought Colonel Phillips and Peggy out of the tent and walked over to see what the commotion was about as both Logan and Steve walk into camp with the captured soldiers alongside some of HYDRA's weapons and tanks from their escape

Steve:Some of these men need medical attention. I'd like to surrender myself for disciplinary action..

Steve says while saluting Colonel Phillips knowing that he is in some major trouble but was still willing to take the blame going rogue as Phillips turned to Logan who had the opposite reaction

"I ain't surrendering shit, bub"

And Phillips knew that was the truth, there was no way he could let Logan go especially with everything that could be brought to the table as Phillips turned back to Steve

Colonel Phillips:That won't be necessary

Logan smirked a little as Phillips walked away to go attend to other duties or to explain to his superiors how this was going to be beneficial for them; Peggy makes her way through the crowd and reminds both of them

Peggy:You're both late

Logan pulls out the device that was meant to call for their ride back but was clearly busted up to the point it was unrecognizable

"Blame Stark for this. Thing broke during the fighting"

Stark did say it had been tested more times than Steve but it clearly wasn't durable like the super soldier; Bucky wanting to celebrate their freedom raises his voice and turns to the other soldiers

Bucky:Hey! Let's give it up for Wolverine and Captain America!

An entourage of cheering and clapping could be heard coming from the freed soldiers as some even chanted the names of their heroes, both Logan and Steve looked each other and shared a good 'ole fist bump knowing that this was definitely worth it
