"The doctor has recommended you to visit the hospital garden again. Let's go, will you?" The nurse said to the patient. "Let's not go. I liked it first, but no longer." The patient said. He looked vulnerable and exhausted, although he was only staying on the bed most of the time.
Nurse Taehyun had beed taking care of weak heart patient HueningKai from the very first, the time he had been admitted to hospital. Kai could leave hospital sometimes, but he had to take permission first and also with Taehyun.
"Then where do you wanna go? Which place will make you feel better?" Taehyun asked him worried. They built up an unbreakable bond over the time. It wasn't pity what Taehyun felt towards Kai. Something so genuine. And just like other kind hearted nurses, he wanted Kai to live his life properly.
"How come there's no daisy in the garden?" Kai pouted. "There are lots of flowers, yet no daisy...." "You miss daisy?" Taehyun looked at Kai with his endearing eyes and shining smile. "Let me think for a while."
After thinking for sometimes, Taehyun suddenly left the room. A few minutes later, he came back with excitement in his face. "Hyuka! My friend said there's a garden of daisies in the last point of the city. Only daisies. Wanna go?" "Of course! Let's go~"
Lots of things Taehyun loved about Kai. This young guy was so excited over little things, a small positive effort from anyone would make him happy. Although he didn't have much time in his hand, he tried his best to make every moment special.
Yes, according to doctor, he was soon to die. Taehyun was well aware of both matter, and the 2nd was how his feelings toward Kai was increasing where it shouldn't.
"WOAHHH~" Kai made a dolphin scream when he saw the very big garden of daisies. "It's so so beautiful! How could I not know about this place before?" Taehyun laughed at Kai's cuteness. "Because it's been only 3 months since you moved to this city. Also, you have to stay in hospital most of the time."

Kai sat down on the ground and took out a daisy, then suddenly looked at Taehyun,"Say, Tyun, it wouldn't hurt to take out some daisies when there are a lot?" "It wouldn't." Then Kai took lots of daisies together and started making a crown.
Taehyun looked at him. He had so much passion within himself even while making a daisy crown.
"This crown is for you. Lovely Tyun~" Kai said putting the crown on Taehyun's head.

If that was a different circumstances, maybe Taehyun would've laughed. That words probably would make him happy but instead, it made him sad. Because such actions from Kai was hurting him. He was falling for him more. He put his breaking thoughts aside and said, "Beautiful, Kai. Do I look good? Wow- it fits me right?" "You're always beautiful, Tyun. You take such good care of me, always. I've made that to thank you for all of this. I'm thankful to you."
Taehyun was breaking inside. To not show it, he looked at his wrist watch and hurriedly said,"Oh! Hyuka, it's time we go back. You have check ups and medicine too. Let's go."
"Doctor, can we do nothing at all?"
Dr Choi looked at Taehyun. "About what?" "You know. About heart patient HueningKai." "He is dying soon. What do you mean?" "That's what I'm saying! Is there any way he can live a normal life? Or at least just survive?" Taehyun's voice raised and went weak immediately. "You have seen lots of patient dying till now. What about him then?" "He's- ok, leave it." Taehyun was about to leave the office as tears rolled down. Suddenly Dr Choi stopped him. "Behave professional. This is why you're a nurse. Others will get hurt by someone's death, but you have to stay strong even that time." Dr hugged him. "But-" Taehyun started crying fully. "Sometimes you have to let things go, Taehyun-ah. You have so much love for this patient, I know this is romantic but, you have to embrace the reality. Promise me, you will?"
Taehyun broke the hug.
"I will."
They went to garden of daisies almost every day.
"Are you not tired of these? I mean, you were tired of hospital garden, but not here?" "Oh! Never! Daisy is my favorite. I'm NEVER ever tired of this!"
After enjoying the presence of daisies for a while, Kai suddenly said, "Tyun, do you know what a daisy symbolizes?" "No? Tell me." "That daisy is simple, yet beautiful, and holds gentleness. A poet will refer daisy as purity and innocence. You know Tyun, you're like a daisy." Taehyun looked at him for a while. "You think I'm pure and innocent? You think I'm beautiful?" "Of course you're! This is why I like you a lot! Your heart is such a beauty, Tyun."
Then Kai wanted to say something. At least Taehyun thought so. But suddenly Kai put his hand on his chest, "H-hurts...please..." "Hyuka! W-wait I'll carry you to hospital right away!"
He rushed to the hospital immediately.
Taehyun couldn't believe his ears.
Kai's parents came, they were crying silently. Dr Choi stepped towards Taehyun, "Listen-" "Why even emergency couldn't save him?" He literally screamed at doctor. "Why...." His voice went weak. "You promised me you'll embrace the reality. Didn't you? You have to." Taehyun left the place suddenly without muttering a single word.
He directly went to the garden of daisies.
This place was where Kai made lots of good memories, where Taehyun was present. He cried a lot. "No, I've to overcome it. Hyuka wouldn't be happy to see me this vulnerable."
"Did Kai want to say something? Probably. He should've said before leaving me." He thought.
