Pico's POV -
Another day, another task. Daddy Dearest's orders echoed in my mind: 'Eliminate the girl.' But why? What had she done to deserve this fate? I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. I didn't want to be a killer, but I had no choice. The clock ticked away, 4:45 PM. I had a few hours before the job. I lit a cigarette, inhaling the smoke as my thoughts drifted to Keith. Again. I couldn't explain why, but the memory of him lingered. And then there was Cherry... Keith's girlfriend, I assumed. The thought of him with her made my stomach twist. I pushed the feeling aside, focusing on the task ahead. 7:30 PM, I had to be ready.
Time skippp-
Now it was 7:20, and I had completed my task. The girl's pleas still echoed in my mind: 'Please don't kill me!' But I had silenced her, just like I silenced my own emotions. I couldn't believe I had taken another life, a 17-year-old student with her whole life ahead of her.
I needed a break, a distraction from the guilt and pain. I headed home, reaching for a cigarette - my go-to coping mechanism since losing Keith. I never used to smoke or drink, but that changed after Keith disappeared. Now, I smoked excessively, trying to fill the void.
As I walked to clear my head, I saw him - Keith - running towards me. My heart skipped a beat. What was he doing here?
Keith: Hey, what's your name?
Pico: (nervously) Pico.
Keith: (smiling) Pico! Yeah, stop right there. You look familiar.
Pico: (panicking) Uh, no... I don't think so.
Keith: (curious) Are you sure? I feel like I know you from somewhere.
Pico: (blushing) N-no... maybe it's just a coincidence.
Keith: (teasingly) Okay, then............. But I have to ask, are you free this weekend?
Pico: (surprised) Uh, yeah... I am.
Keith: (smiling) Great! Want to go to the movies with me?
Pico: (nervously) S-sure... why not?"
