Pico POV -
After Keith asked me to the movies, I assumed he meant as friends, but it stirred up feelings I couldn't ignore. How easily I fell for him! As I pondered this, I arrived home, still reeling from our encounter. Keith had given me his number, 'just in case' I didn't show up, but why wouldn't I? I reached home, lit a cigarette, and flopped onto my bed, saving his number under 'Blue'. After saving Keith's number, I found myself staring at the ceiling, feeling restless. So, I texted him to confirm our movie plans.
Me: Hey, it's Pico.
Blue (Keith): Oh! Heyyyy!
Me: Just wanted to ask, what day are we going to the movies?
Blue: How about tomorrow?
Me: Cool!
I put down my phone, and a wave of happiness washed over me, reminiscent of my first date with Keith. I couldn't believe how much he'd already taken up space in my heart. I love this boy!
The next morning, I woke up excited, got ready in my olive green hoodie and cream pants, and waited anxiously for our 6 pm hangout. When Keith arrived, we exchanged pleasantries, and I suggested we head to the movies. I'd secretly chosen a horror movie, knowing Keith isn't a fan, but I couldn't resist.
As we watched the movie, the first jump scare made Keith scream, and I burst out laughing. 'Stop it...' 'Come on, it's funny!' After the movie, we walked back home, and Keith mentioned how much fun he had. I beamed with happiness, trying to play it cool.
'Hey Pico... today I had really fun!'
'I'm glad you did, bee.'
'Hehe, how about we meet again?'
My eyes lit up, but I casually replied, 'Why not?'
And that's how the day ended."
