"I don't think that's possible."

"I'll film you the next time you get excited, you sound like an hyper active chipmunk." He laughed.

"Chipmunk?" I laughed.

"What, actually." He chuckled.

"Come on." He said getting up, pulling me up from my arm.

"Where are we going?" I asked as we walked towards Luke's.

"Up." He replied leading me to the back of the building.

"Go on." He said as we walked up to the back of the building.

"There's no where to go."

He pointed up at the ladder on the side of the building that led to the roof.

" oh absolutely not." I scoffed.

"I'm behind you, I'll catch you if you fall." He said before lifting me up from my waist so I could reach the ladder.

"I can't believe I'm doing this."

"I'm right behind you." He said calmly as I started to climb up.

I tried to not look down since the building was a few stories high, how did Jess even talk me into this?

I got up on the roof happy to be back on stable ground. It was beautiful, you could see basically all of stars hollow from up there.

"It's beautiful." I whispered hearing him get up on the roof.

"Yeah." He chuckled lightly before walking up to me from behind and kissing my shoulder.

"I love you." He whispered in my ear before spinning me around and kissing me slowly.

"I love you too." I grinned before pulling him back into the kiss, this time harder.

A pebble smacked into the side of my face making me flinch and pull away.

"What the heck?" I said looking down.

"Pipe down!" Yelled Luke making me and Jess burst out laughing.

"Luke?" I asked walking into the diner.

"Yeah?" I heard a muffled voice say from the little kitchen.

"Hey Luke." I said walking into the kitchen.

"Hey, will you go make coffee." He said cleaning the oven.

"Yep." I said turning on my heel and walking back into the diner.

I put some coffee on and filled a few cups before taking orders.

"Hey Kirk." I smiled walking up to his table.

"Hey Matilda." He said keeping his eyes on the menu.

"So what do you want?" I asked.

"Eggs and toast but don't let the eggs touch the toast."

"Should I put the eggs on a separate plate?"

"Yes please." He said before I walked off and gave Caesar the order.

"Remember, different plates." I Said pointing my finger at him earning a nod from the short man.

"Matilda." I heard a voice say from behind me.

I turned around looking for the voice noticing Rory standing in front of the door.

"Hey, come sit." I smiled tapping on the counter top that I was leaning against with my fingers.

"So I kinda like someone." She whispered leaning closer to me.

"What, who?" I asked excitedly.

"I can't tell you........ but I need advice."

"Well go on." I said filling up a mug with hot coffee for her.

"Thanks, so I really like this guy but.. he's taken." She sighed.

"Hmm, do you think he's interested?"

"Yeah I do." She smiled.

"I say that you go for it but only if you're sure that he wants it too." I said grabbing a plate and placing a donut on it, passing it to Rory.

"Okay, thanks." She smiled before grabbing a book out her bag.

"Hey Luke, I was wondering if I could cut this shift off early since miss Patty is teaching a ballet class in an hour." I asked walking into the storage room.

"Uh sure that's fine, see you tomorrow." He said preoccupied by some jars of pickles.

I rushed out the diner after saying bye to Rory so I could get ready.

I got ready at home before running to the class making it just on time.

"Matilda, nice to see you." Miss Patty smiled watching me walk through the doors panting from running.

"Nice to see you too Miss Patty." I smiled trying to catch my breath.
